Terracore: Devlog #26 - Stability & Building in the Background

Hello Fellow Citizens!

Another week down and lot's of improvements and bug fixes have went through since the last update. As the post is labeled building in the background is sometimes how it goes as an indie developer I have to get the most in when I have the time to dedicate. There are a bunch of small fixes and major developments that have been in the pipeline the past month and they are starting to come to life & I will break them down below! I have a very busy next few weeks IRL with multiple weddings I need to attend, and I am also moving which if is a process so a lot of the work will be done remotely until I get settled in to the new place. With this being said the releases will be strategic so I can remain responsive in Discord & make sure all new updates are working properly.

New Logo

This is a very exciting one for me to see such a professional logo for the game, I really went on a hunt for the perfect artist that was ready to work with the vision I had for the game and I think it came out perfect! We will be transitioning all of the branding and game assets to this over the next few weeks.

Quests

As many of you have seen we have released some of the code for the upcoming Quest systems on our Github & have started testing internally. This is not quite ready to be released yet but getting closer. This will introduce some new mechanics that will require you to have a well rounded character and will cost $FLUX to start a new quest chain. More info will be dropped on this when we closer to release!

Server Stability

As always we had to tackle some new unplanned server issues this past week with after seeing some attacks on HE & some node failures in the core Smart Contract that we had not seen happen up until now. They were quickly patched and no longer rely on the the HE nodes to function properly.

This is a constant part of the game as it develops & another reason why game updates need to be released at a speed in which I can watch how it effects' the overall infrastructure to run the game & keep high uptimes.



These changes are now active................SIKE! No changes today but this is for the people who always look for this message...maybee next update🤣
