🇪🇸 ~ Queridos amigos (o´▽`o)ﾉ oficialmente estas son **las últimas gatitas del grupo de +30 gatitos que teníamos pendientes por esterilización** mis amigas y yo, del proyecto que he compartido aquí en varias ocasiones, y lo que ha sido muchos meses de alimentación, cuidados, recuperación y búsqueda de hogares con familias morosas y responsables.
> 🇺🇸 ~ Dear friends (o´▽`o)ﾉ Officially, these are **the last kittens from the group of over 30 kittens that my friends and I had pending sterilization** from the project I have shared here on several occasions, which has involved many months of feeding, caring for, recovering, and finding homes with responsible families.

Este logro nos hace plantearnos nuevas posibilidades a mis amigas y a mí (por ejemplo cómo podríamos ayudar a colonias de gatos de residencias vecinas) pero la realidad es que estamos agotadas, necesitamos vacaciones para recuperar energías y re-organizarnos...

Esas ideas son algo que decidimos que mejor analizaremos y conversaremos otro día; hoy solo quiero ser agradecida y compartir la historia de **Michiru y Flora** (a Flora la rebautizamos como "Lluvia de Oro" por su pelaje que es escarchado de amarillo, así que a partir de ahora es "Lluvia").

✦ When Michiru woke up a little more from the anesthesia, she became super affectionate, asking for lots of cuddles even though she was still a little drunk. She was adorable! ✦
La historia es que estas pequeñas **cumplen casi los 8 meses de edad este mes de Septiembre** y sus cirugías de esterilización estaban programadas para cuando cumplieran 6 meses, **pero sucedió algo con lo que no contábamos:**

El "IMPA" (Instituto Municipal de Protección Animal de Maracaibo) suspendió sus actividades por varias semanas debido a cambios en su administración, y es allí donde llevamos a los gatitos para sus operaciones (en jornadas de esterilización a bajo costo) y para que reciban sus vacunas contra la rabia (allí son gratis ya que es un programa de vacunación del gobierno).

Muchas personas en la ciudad estábamos preocupadas porque no sabíamos cuándo el "IMPA" re-activaría sus actividades, **¡los extrañamos muchísimo!,** la atención allí es muy buena, los doctores veterinarios son excelentes, y **las suturas que le colocan allí a los gatos son extra-fuertes** y eso es una ayuda enorme para los cuidadores ya que los post-operatorios de los gatitos son complicados por su naturaleza; en resumen, mis amigas y yo estuvimos en espera para atender la situacion de **Michiru y Lluvia** por bastante tiempo _(no se preocupen, ambas gatitas desde bebés han estado resguardadas en casa, primero la de un vecino y luego la mía, no hemos permitido que se expongan a la calle)._

El pasado sábado 4 de Octubre **"Día Mundial de los Animales"** ambas gatitas fueron exitosamente esterilizadas en una ocasión tan especial como una jornada de esterilización que coincidió con la **"Jornada Latinoamericana de Castración Masiva",** puedes [leer más info aquí](https://ultimasnoticias.com.ve/general/jornada-de-castracion-en-el-zulia-y-cojedes-por-el-dia-mundial-de-los-animales/) y aunque yo no pude asistir por temas de salud, mis amigas sí y son quienes se encargaron de llevar, esperar y traer de vuelta a estas hermanitas carey; y como en otras ocasiones, **el post-operatorio es mi especialidad** y aquí estamos (en modo enfermera por los siguientes 21 días).
