The first chapter gives us a glimpse into the future, where **Athanasia** is condemned by her own father, **Emperor Claude of Alger Obelia,** to be locked up in a tower for using black magic, even though her intention in defying this prohibition was to win the love of a father who had ignored her all her life for lacking these gifts that she was supposed to inherit naturally (her mother, named **Diana,** who died after giving birth to her on a stormy night, was a dancer who used magic, and her father is a very powerful magic user).

**Athanasia** has had a difficult life from the start. Her father, the Emperor, ordered everything that belonged to her mother to be burned, and she will never see her. Rumors spread that he did not love the late queen and that **Athanasia** is an unwanted daughter. so the servants neglect her, and we are led to believe that she might have starved to death if it weren't for **Lady Lilian,** a friend of her mother's who comes to **Ruby Castle** to offer her services as her caregiver. But I'm getting ahead of myself! Our poor Athanasia is a neglected baby who seems to faint in her crib from hunger and has a vision of a book containing all the events of her future (as I mentioned in the paragraph above!), which, when it finishes revealing itself to her, makes her come back from what seems to have been just a nightmare.

Knowing what lies ahead, **Athanasia** refuses to accept her fate and begins to work on a plan to escape it, literally fleeing the palace far away from her father before she turns nine. To this end, she begins to collect jewels, which she gathers in small bags that she hides under her bed.

But **Athanasia** is not only working on getting what she needs for her escape plan, she also uses what she calls premonitory dreams (glimpses of her own history in her dreams) to change events and tragedies in her present. For example, she prevents the murder of **Lady Lilian,** but this changes the fate of her kingdom, and therefore the things she has seen happening in her dreams begin to not happen exactly as she saw them.

For example, her first face-to-face meeting with her father was supposed to take place when she was nine years old, but now she meets him at the age of five. This radically changes her plans as she spends time with **Emperor Claude,** who, although stoic and expressionless, seems, in his own way, genuinely interested in his daughter and insists on seeing her every day to eat and share tea. This greatly baffles **Athanasia,** who is terrified of him because of her visions of the future where he is cruel to her.

The combination of the protagonist's maturity and her internal dialogues, combined with the Emperor's attitude and personality, create funny situations with misunderstandings on both sides. It's hilarious to see how **Athanasia** panics when she has no idea what her father is thinking, while **Claude** has no idea how to deal with a small child. To date, the last episode aired is the fifth, and it left us on the edge of our seats with **Athanasia** coughing up blood after reciting a spell.

A la fecha de hoy el último capitulo emitido es el 5to y nos dejó al borde de la silla con **Athanasia** tosiendo sangre despues de haber recitado un hechizo.

**“Mofa Gongzhu by Xiao Fannao”** is an interesting proposition after a long season of watching action series such as **Shingeki No Kyoujin or Kimetsu No Yaiba.** It also focuses on how a little girl tries to change the future by dodging dangers and palace intrigues, and the relationship she tries to build with her father is a more than original proposition.

On the internet, you'll find opinions that this series has a trite plot, with some saying that it's a repetitive genre among manhwa because the original novel on which it's based is an isekai; but I think people have become too critical and bitter.
