Name: Homo Bunkerensis Origin Planet: Earth
Once known as the "Blue Planet," Earth was a world teeming with life. But after the devastation of global warfare, it became a shadow of its former self—an uninhabitable ruin forged by humanity's own folly. From this scorched world emerged a new human variant: the Bunkerlings, those who endured and adapted to the collapse.
The Bunk
As Earth's condition deteriorated, humanity was forced to evolve to survive. Long before the planet reached its breaking point, bunkers had already been constructed. These underground refuges became the last bastions of life. To continue existing, survivors integrated machinery into their very flesh—eyes, limbs, even internal organs. Nothing was off limits in their pursuit of survival.
Raised in hardship, the Bunkerlings evolved alongside their creations: the machines. The very technology they once took pride in now both sustains and torments them. Their hands are reinforced with exoskeletons and tools embedded into their fingers—some even have screwdrivers implanted. Hair is obsolete, replaced with synthetic strands that double as signal antennas. Speech is rare, reserved only for necessity, as communication is now digital, facilitated by AI chips implanted in their skulls.
Their spines are hunched, reshaped by years of adapting to the constant shockwaves of distant explosions—forever bowed, as if in silent submission or desperate hope.
The world outside the bunkers is merciless. They emerge only when absolutely necessary, donning gas masks to endure the toxic air. Their skin is pale from the lack of sunlight, and their bodies are neglected, often left to decay alongside machinery. When needed, they are reprinted biologically in labs—dismantled and reconstructed like machines.
These are the Human Earth, Bunkerling. Next, I’ll introduce a variant of humanity consumed by greed, born on a planet that provides everything.
