Okay, of course, while working on this, I listened to Nirvana song “Territorial Pissings” because it was inspired by it.

Across a cold, synthetic landscape, a pack of dogs races toward a crown resting at the far edge of the horizon. They are not simply chasing an object, they are defending an ancient idea, that territory, power, and the symbols of triumph belong only to those most aggressive.

In the animal world, “territorial pissings” is how males mark their dominance. In human society, this behavior transforms into the structures of patriarchy, claiming public space, restricting access to symbols of authority, and forcing women to continuously prove their worth. Here, the crown becomes a representation of power that, for centuries, has been assumed to be the natural right of men, while others are left as spectators or challengers forever viewed with suspicion.

By placing this hunt within a futuristic digital realm, the work underscores a bitter irony, even as civilization advances technologically, the masculine instinct for possession and dominance persists.

Inspired by Nirvana, the piece reflects on how the struggle for territory, both physical and symbolic, is not merely instinct, but a social construct endlessly repeated, locking us into cycles of competition that rarely allow true equality.
