Hello, Hive community. This time, I decided to write a post about the eventful day that turned out to be my partner José María's birthday.
Por la noche le preparé un dulcito con el que le cantaríamos cumpleaños a primera hora de la mañana. Para hacer el dulce utilicé una base de torta de chocolate desboronada. Hice una mezcla de buttercream de Oreo y rellené un vasito en forma de corazón con una capa de cada uno hasta llenarlo por encima. Con el relleno de algunas galletas oreo hice el número 23 que no podía faltar junto con una velita.
That night, I prepared a sweet treat for him so we could sing happy birthday first thing in the morning. To make the treat, I used a crumbled chocolate cake base. I made an Oreo buttercream mixture and filled a heart-shaped cup with a layer of each until it was full. With the filling from some Oreo cookies, I made the number 23, which couldn't be missing, along with a little candle.

José and I had to leave early to do some activities in the countryside and we took longer than expected, but as a cautious woman is worth 100, the night before I made some appetizers to celebrate today and to make him a breakfast that I knew he would enjoy. De imprevisto tuvimos que en la tarde, después de almorzar, ir a tomar unas muestras de sangre a 50 vacas y fui como asistente porque la veterinaria necesitaba ayuda. Para rematar justo cuándo nos íbamos (A las 6 comenzaba la reunión de cumpleaños) un becerro se descompensó porque estaba enfermo y una vaca lo golpeó. La veterinaria tenía que salir corriendo a hacerle una transfusión de sangre para salvarle la vida. José y yo nos fuimos a casa para prepararnos y terminar de buscar las cosas para ir a la reunión.
Unexpectedly, after lunch that afternoon, we had to go take blood samples from 50 cows, and I went along as an assistant because the vet needed help. To top it off, just as we were leaving (the birthday party was starting at 6), a calf became ill and a cow knocked it over. The vet had to rush off to give it a blood transfusion to save its life. José and I went home to get ready and finish packing for the party.
Nos bañamos y terminé de arreglar a mi sobrina con su lindo vestido y le hice un peinado. Guardamos todas las cosas necesarias para la reunión en el carro, entre ellas iban unas salsas de vinagreta y de atún con Pepitona, galletas, pancitos tostados con margarina y ajo, los tequeños que hice el día anterior, refrescos, cervezas. Sólo nos faltaba comprar el hielo.
We took a bath, and I finished getting my niece ready in her pretty dress and did her hair. We put all the things we needed for the gathering in the car, including some vinaigrette and tuna with Pepitona sauces, cookies, toasted bread with margarine and garlic, the tequeños I made the day before, soft drinks, and beers. All we had left to do was buy the ice.

Apparently, we weren't the only ones who were late. When we arrived, there was no one there. However, I prepared everything necessary to serve our guests.

We sang happy birthday 🎂 Everyone was happy and excited. Turning 23 is a once-in-a-lifetime event for everyone. José was happy, the cake was delicious, and everyone had a good slice. The best part was that we got home a little earlier than expected.

He takes out some little stars that we used a lot in our childhood to make wishes. He and I each had one to make a wish. And we ended the night with some fireworks, which don't scare anyone, but we still enjoyed setting them off.
