Raising Resilience
After 7 days, I believe the resiliency journal makes a great exercise. I have a prompt each day to answer. It focuses on important values and strategies for resilience, hardiness. Every day is worthy of reflection. If one can practice regularly, it should bear positive results. In one prompt I noted that writing brings me joy. Journaling each day has done just that. The diverse subject matter fuels my creativity.
Raising Funds
A third of the way through the money-saving challenge, I have mixed feelings. Some strategies apply and bear remarkable fruit. I called Xfinity and clipped our bill by 25% and secured better internet. I like the suggestion of a simple wardrobe too. As it happens, I am a spendthrift for new clothing. But not all the strategies hold water. I could investigate refinancing, but I don't own. I rent. I don't drink coffee either. The biggest opportunity so far comes from the online rebates program.
At first I was surprised the service still operates. Thinking about it, since shopping remains as prevalent as ever, I see why the business booms 12 years later. Rakuten, formerly known as Ebates, makes an interesting limited time offer. Invite your friends, family, and friends' families to Rakuten. When they spend $30, the two of you earn $30. Only 37 days left so I'm telling everyone. But why Rakuten? You can earn up to 12% and more cash back, all while shopping at your favorite stores, like I did at Mr. Porter. There's thousands of brands, so you could switch tabs before I list them all here.
Raising Awareness
And lastly, the first seven of 101 ways to market your business show some promise. If an idea doesn't apply, like uniforms or physical signage, it still inspires. I could make unique ads for referrals within my posts, for example. There are many ways to use the Internet to get noticed. Many times, the simpler the idea, the better. One woman vented her frustration about people's attendance at book clubs and hikes. Over the weekend, hundreds joined a Discord echoing similar feelings. One person's honesty birthed a club almost overnight.
