For many of us, having a pet is all about the companionship and we will protect and love that dear friend with whatever it takes.
I recently sunk seven thousand dollars into my great dane to get a steel plate and pins put in her leg when someone hit her carelessly while driving. No, it wasn't me. 😏
That being said, we also are a little heartbroken when we as humans, outlive our little critters. I've seen multiple generations of kitty cats come and go and have housed several dogs on into their teens. Something we do, to help remember them after they return to the dust, is make little stepping stones that honor their lives. Some are simply rocks that we know who's is who's and some have been painted and molded into various shapes. We even have a pet cemetery around the way.
Since today is National Pet Memorial Day, I invite you to drop a picture of your loved one in the comments below. It might be worth a few HBI if you do. If not, no big deal, but do take time to reminisce about your friend today.
## Family Time!
Well hey there, did ya miss us? We missed you! So much, in fact, that we have rescheduled our 'Family Time' to Wednesdays (and every **HUMP Day** after) and we hope to see you there! Join our lovely band of outcasts, normies, goofballs, pimps, degenerates, professionals and all things within and without and betwixt and between starting **11 am CST/ 12 pm EST**. We always try to have a little fun and and if you're paying attention, a few smiles might just be shared. We like to smile. We like to laugh. We realize that life isn't all about the important things like #politics, #religion and #sex, no, it's about the time spent, the experiences had and memories made. Memories get passed on, experiences are shared and time - time is the currency we spend to acquire them.

Unlike the 'Addams Family' shows, all of this is live, unrehearsed and not recorded before any audience. Funny things happen. Sad things happen. Smiles and tears get shared. Worries and hopes are passed around. Sometimes, we even eat #pizza, cake and ice cream. Sometimes, we watch movies. Sometimes, giant insects attack the microphones and we have to get out our silly swatters and smack 'em up so we have something to snack on because the popcorn got eaten already by little slugs that left slimy trails everywhere and made the sidewalks slippery so that the pancakes didn't get enough traction on our canoes to steer the spaceships. Exactly.
