There are 3 things I was focusing on.
* Depth of filed (part of the image is blurrier than other parts) -- I really need to practice more of that.
* Realism - Making it look more like a photo than one of my highly textured paintings. This definitely involves looking at more reference.
* Story - Having a character doing something.... The viewer gets that there is something interesting going on. It's up to the viewer to decide what is actually going on.
