Happy Halloween everybody! Today is always a fun day as tonight all of the children from the area will comes dressed up in all sorts of cute costumes trick-or-treating. I used to love trick-or-treating as a kid and I had a lot of fun taking my son around the neighborhood when he was younger. But kids outgrow that phase of life so quickly, I'm not sure where the years went!
I stocked up on Halloween candy a few weeks back when it was on sale, it's a good thing too, as it has become outlandishly expensive. Over that last few years the candy prices have really skyrocketed. And the last thing you want to be is that "guy" passing out lousy candy. If you wait to the last minute to go shopping that's all you will find and it will be excessively overprice. I think we've all been there once or twice! lol
Because I am a part of the silver gold stacker community I always like to share some cool items I come across for each holiday. This is a nice one sold by APMEX.com, four solid ounce of silver!
APMEX.com
It is kind of cool, and sells for $236.68, not too bad for four Troy ounces of colorized pure silver! I won't be buying as my funds are tight this year due to medical bills. The real world comes first as always!
It also happens to be a Friday this Halloween, which means I'll be sharing some music as well as part of the Nineties Friday initiative. It was started by @geneeverett , and is a day you can share just about anything from the 1990's. He's also adapted it to be Four Tune Friday as well, so if you prefer that angle you can feel free! There are no prizes, just pure fun!
But since it is Halloween, the music will be pure spooky fun from the 1990's!
Rob Zombie
You can't do the 1990's Halloween special without adding in some Rob Zombie. He has been obsessed with zombies since he was a child and seen every zombie movie ever made. He was also a huge fan of "The Munster's" which was a great show about monsters living in the real world, it was hilarious! In one episode they built a drag racing car which they named the Dragula. Have a look:

These don't come cheap! But Rob Zombie wrote a song on his debut album paying homage to the legendary vehicle with "Dragula":

Alice Cooper
Back to the king of Halloween, Alice Cooper. Many people don't realize that his career spanned even into the 1990's. He was very busy collaborating with many of the great grunge artists throughout the decade. But this song comes from very early in the decade, and was included in the film "Wayne's World", this is "Feed My Frankenstein":

Misfits
Another band that most people tie to the 1970's and 1980's in the horror punk band the Misfits. They produced some great tunes over the years. In 1995 a new version of the band was assembled and in 1997 they released American Psycho, which had the hit song "Dig Up Her Bones". Is that not perfect for Halloween?

The Nightmare Before Christmas
I couldn't leave this off the list as it was a true 90's classic and now a cult movie. Produced by Tim Burton teaming up with Danny Elfman (former lead singer of Oingo Boingo) they created a classic tale that is still fun to watch until today. But here is the leadoff song in the movie "This Is Halloween":

That will wrap up this Friday's Halloween post, I do hope you enjoyed it! I wish you all a happy and safe Halloween if you do celebrate the holiday. Thanks for taking the time to check out my post and for all of your support, it's greatly appreciated! Have a great weekend everyone!
