It's been quite a week! I've had a hard time keeping up with all the things I had to get done, and post on top of that. But it all worked out in the end, and here we are at Sunday yet again. I hope you've all had a great week and a productive one as well!
This past week I really haven't had much of a chance to keep up with responses on the giveaway, sorry about that. I should be able to respond to all of you this coming week. I got some great responses as usual, and some that I plain didn't expect to see. That's almost becoming the norm anymore on this weekly post!
For the past week's giveaway we had a grand total of 62 participants! Not too bad, up from 53 last week. I had planned on changing up the bonus prizes this week but just haven't had the time to do it yet, so that will have to be for next week. I'm thinking of adding in some other tokens, we'll see how things work out this week!
Moving on... I started this initiative over a year and a half ago to help others to grow their accounts on Hive. It's also been a way for me to give back to all of you who have helped me grow here on Hive over the last two and a half years. Hard to believe it's been that long!

The runaway favorite is the tomato! I have to admit it's one of the favorite things I have growing in my backyard. There really is nothing like a fresh picked tomato either by itself or even on a sandwich. There are so many different varieties to choose from these days, and they all taste great!

This wonderful herb is one I also grow in my garden. There's nothing like fresh basil to add into whatever you happen to be cooking. This too has so many different varieties available, sometimes it's hard to choose which ones I want to keep planted. I usually grow these in pots to free up my bed space for bigger plants.

Chili Peppers

I am a huge fan of hot peppers, so this is right up my alley. I grow jalapenos, habaneros, and serrano peppers in my yard. They produce really well in summer, and I've been bottling a lot of them, except the serrano which I dry out. It's a great way to spice up your food, and they taste great. Sunflowers

Although not your typical food crop, sunflowers are among my favorite things I grow in my yard. They were always my mothers favorite and it rubbed off on me. Plus if you grow the right varieties you can collect a lot of seeds at the end of the season. Thanks for this great choice to @gwajnberg , @alicia2022 and @lanzjoseg !

This tuberous vegetable is a staple around the world, and was first domesticated by farmers in Peru and Bolivia some 7,000 to 10,000 years ago. The Spanish introduced it to the rest of the world and there are more than 5,000 varieties available. I love potatoes, but have to limit my intake as they also have a lot of calories. Especially when fried!

Raspberries

I have always loved raspberries! My parents had some bushed in the backyard for years and it was fun to pick them off for a snack as a child. These are really flavorful, I just wish I had room for bushes in my yard. I would love to have a backyard fully of berry bushes, currant bushes, and strawberry plants. But there's not enough room. Plus, in California you can buy fresh strawberries year round and stands all over the place.

I will be giving out one prize of five (5) HSBI. Second and Third prizes will be 1 DUO tokens, the token I recently launched with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman . It offers those who stake sufficient tokens daily curation on quality posts, dividends, and a tipping bot. It also helps to onboard and retain new Hive members.
