Hey again everyone, I'm Byron from Canada and once again I painted zombies. This time though, I only used paint, no inks.
This painting came about for no other reason than the need to slap paint onto paper. It was a compulsion and I gave in and slapped down some paint. When I don't know what to paint, I paint people and turn them into zombies. The first steps are to just lay down the foundation.
Here I am basically drawing with colour, using the blue to construct the figures and then blocking in the main colour. After the first layer is down I start going over it with slightly darker colours to add depth.
More blues and darker hues. Add more red to the bloody areas, add some brown to the orange. It's all about building up the layers of colour and playing with shadows. Once I get it to where I like it, I photograph it and then photoshop it to enhance the colours just a little bit more.
Once I am happy with the final look and it looks almost as good as the original painting, I mint it. This one has been minted on DRiPhaus as a 1 of 1 and is currently in auction. You can see the NFT here

I called this piece "What's Wrong With Us?" and its about 4"x4" watercolour on watercolour paper.
