My name is Anna, I am 49 years old and I live on the Essex Sunshine Coast in the UK. I was widowed 10 years ago and have been a single mother ever since to my 3 children, 2 of which are fully grown adults and I live with my strangely wise and mature 15 year old who keeps me in check. I also have 3 dogs that are more trouble than the kids!
I was introduced to Hive by my wonderful friend @holisticmom who I have the honour of living just down the road from, big respect needs to go out to her for coming to my aid and spending many hours setting this account up with me, I am not the most technical person in the world and this is a serious test of my computer skills! She also introduced our other friends @audiohive-me and @queenoftheworld but I have a feeling they cottoned on to this a lot quicker than me!
My biggest passion in life is singing, I have to sing every day otherwise I dont feel right and I am lucky enough to have joined a commuinty band during lockdown last year called The Wash Your Hands Band that performed every Sunday in the park bandstand for free, giving some much needed joy to the local commuinity. From that band a 4 piece busking band formed consisting of me, a trombone player, saxophone player, trumpeter and AMAZING clarinetist, all of them are top of their game, professional musicians, and then there was me! We were no longer allowed to busk as lockdown got stricter so we did a live stream which you can view here:

My second biggest passion is art, I love painting dark, macabre, horror art as much as I do bright, colourful still lifes, I'm complex. I have recently discovered the joys of Procreate and have been doing a lot of art with that, it's very strange to be able to sit in bed with a full palette of of oil paints and create a lovely landscape with no mess!

Aside from that I love socialising with my lovely friends, getting together for jam sesions, being in nature, walking my dogs, reading, watching good films, especially sci-fi and horror and I collect vintage ephemera and vintage clothes.
I've lived a fairly drama ridden life, most people tell me I MUST write a book when they hear my stories, maybe this place will be better to blog my tales? Maybe I'll write my memoirs here....
I've been told I need to post a photo of me with the date, time and place in it, so here is this horrendous offering, the best of a very bad bunch, I wanted to cut my head off by the end. Now, I'm off to explore this place and find some like minded communities......I haven't a clue what I'm doing, I may be some time
