There are a lot of junk foods and processed snacks available for purchase in local stores. It is very convenient for us to buy and eat them right away. But keep in mind that we also need to think of our health, and look for healthier snacks as an alternative.
Living in the countryside gives us a lot of options. We are proud to say that we can get freshly-harvested bananas and sweet corn in the local market and then cook them as our snacks at home. We bought some, and when we got home, we prepared the simple cooking. We just washed the corn and banana thoroughly, then put them inside the pan. We also added some water and then opened the stove. As the water boils, it will also cook them.
After a few minutes of cooking, we checked them, and they are good to go. These are the kids' favorite snacks during the afternoon. And we, adults, also loved eating them together with a cup of coffee. We put the cooked corn and banana on a plate, and placed them on the table.
To spice up the snacks, we also bought the STAR Margarine in Sweet Blend flavor. We dipped the banana in here, and then the kids enjoyed putting some in their corns—just another healthy snack for the family.
So, that's it for today. Thank you so much for reading. See you on our next blog. Sending good vibes to everyone!
