Fellow Wednesday Walkers, I hope you enjoy a nice Wednesday Walk!

This post is published on the #wednesdaywalk community that is run by @tattoodjay.

The roots of this tree look like big snakes, don’t you agree?

It’s amazing how these roots keep feeding the tree, even after getting completely exposed and without any soil covering them.

This a great example of how life can flourish and survive in the most unbelievable places and conditions.

I guess other people also stop for a moment to look at this spectacle and admire nature’s power and versatility.

Talking about trees, this is a photograph of an olive tree that is packed with olives.

Olive trees make olives, from which olive oil is produced, with both olives and olive oil offering excellent nutritional and health benefits to people.

Olive trees are among the longest living plants, with some of them dating back to thousands of years.

They are great examples of live natural history.

Unfortunately, in recent years, wild fires have turned millions of acres of these trees into ash, destroying a resilient plant that has otherwise stood the test of time.

In addition to this, last year, there were olive trees that didn’t make any olives at all, which caused olive oil prices to more than double.

Finally, a shot of an uphill pebble street.

In spite of the sloped ground, the stonemasons who fitted the stones did a very good job, with a long lasting result for many generations to come.

The only problem arises when it snows in the winter, and street walkers have to be extra careful not to slid on the slippery surface of the stones, and get injured.
