Beautiful September: Gratitude Amidst Challenges

Wow! It’s the last quarter of the year. I remember, just like yesterday, shouting “Happy New Year!” with my family and friends.

Though ember months are usually associated with problems and all, they are months of higher productivity and demands. Many people make profit this month and businesses boom this month.

For me, it might not be the case because I am not into business. As a salary earner, I often spend my salary three days after the day of payment. I am thinking about children’s school fees and how to feed my family.

Beautiful September! My husband celebrated his birthday yesterday and my little daughter will be celebrating hers this month too. Though we don’t do large celebrations, we celebrate by buying drinks and eating fried rice. I am planning on making cake one day—that’s if I have the time.

September comes with a couple of expenses: my daughter’s school fees, feeding, and many more. Sometimes I pity my husband because it’s always bills upon bills.

Also, this month, I harvested my planted potatoes and more. I also harvested my pepper, and my sisters called from overseas.

Though I am getting to know this platform better and better every single day, I will try my best to focus on both work and social media.

To be candid here, September is full of surprises. We are enjoying the blessings from God Most High. The air that I breathe is free, and the country is moving forward. Within these challenges, the Nigerian president can now brag that they are stabilizing.

Last September was much worse than this because I had more kids’ school fees to pay, but here I am now, only needing to pay for two of my kids. Yet the expenses of foodstuffs and all are largely more than they used to be.

Comparatively, my spiritual life is healthy too, and I thank God for His presence in the issues of my life and family.

Recently, trucks have claimed the lives of some Nigerians, and deeply, I pray that God sees those families through. In one of these accidents, an entire family was wiped out. 😭 I pray that their souls will rest in peace.

Generally, the country is hard but laziness leads to a drastic reduction in income or output. People believe in God for better days and surely these days will come. I implore us all not to fade or reduce. God will work it out. It is not about the situation or your present challenges or what the economy is saying. God will work it out. That's one thing that I know and that's one thing I have found.

So I crown this write-up by saying that God provides for everyone here in Nigeria. Also, I pray that God elevates our school systems, and for every child resuming next week, may God’s eyes watch over you.

Thank you all for the privilege you have given me to post in this beautiful group this week.

Bye.
