Encuentro de Talentos: Lazos de sangre [Esp-Eng]

Esta semana, nuestra amiga @angelica7 nos invita a hablar sobre: Lazos de sangre. Sabemos que la familia es lo más grande y sagrado que tenemos en la vida y es el lugar donde recibimos y damos amor, donde se nos valora y respeta como debemos y donde existe una relación única de aceptación, respeto y compromiso. Pero hoy quiero hablar de la familia, no de aquella en la que nacemos, sino de aquella que nos da la vida, la que se convierte en algo más, la que consideramos nuestra verdadera familia, aunque no estén emparentados con nosotros por sangre. Aunque todos tenemos una familia y nuestras raíces, a menudo sentimos que algunas personas que no pertenecen a nuestra familia inmediata forman parte de ella. Creo que una de las razones es el amor, el compañerismo y el respeto que encontramos en esa relación a diario. No es necesario estar unido por lazos de sangre para amar a alguien. El contacto que tenemos con esa persona fortalece los lazos entre los miembros de la familia, independientemente del tipo de sangre que corra por nuestras venas. Nunca conocí a la familia de mi madre porque era hija única. Sus padres murieron cuando ella era niña y su abuela falleció cuando tenía 13 años. Quedó al cuidado de un tío que vivía con una mujer que no era su esposa. Ella crió a mi madre como si fuera su propia hija y fue la abuela que la vida nos dio a mí y a mis hermanos. Sus hijas son mis tías, primos y también tengo sobrinos que aún comparto con ellos. Nos queremos como si fuéramos familia de sangre. Otros sobrinos que la vida me ha dado son @nathyortiZ y su hijo Gael. Desde que falleció mi sobrino, ella ha estado con nosotros. Los considero parte de mi familia porque siempre han estado ahí para nosotros en las buenas y en las malas, y los quiero tanto como a mis sobrinos de sangre. La vida es verdaderamente agradecida con aquellos de nosotros que tenemos el privilegio de encontrar a esas personas que nos dan amor sin tener esos lazos sanguíneos. Estoy agradecida a Dios por mi familia de sangre porque somos muy unidos, y por esta familia que me ha dado la vida, que para mí es el mejor regalo que atesoro en mi corazón.

This week, our friend @angelica7 invites us to talk about: Blood ties. We know that family is the greatest and most sacred thing we have in life and is the place where we receive and give love, where we are valued and respected as we should be and where there is a unique relationship of acceptance, respect, and commitment. But today I want to talk about family, not the one we are born into, but the one that gives us life, the one that becomes something more, the one we consider our true family, even though they are not related to us by blood.  

Although we all have a family and our roots, we often feel that some people who do not belong to our immediate family are part of it. I think one of the reasons is the love, companionship, and respect we find in that relationship on a daily basis. You don't have to be related by blood to love someone. The contact we have with that person strengthens the bonds between family members, regardless of the type of blood that runs through our veins. 


I never met my mother's family because she was an only child. Her parents died when she was a child and her grandmother passed away when she was 13. She was left in the care of an uncle who lived with a woman who was not his wife. She raised my mother as if she were her own daughter and was the grandmother that life gave me and my siblings. Her daughters are my aunts and cousins, and I also have nephews and nieces that I still share with them. We love each other as if we were blood relatives. Other nieces and nephews that life has given me are @nathyortiZ and her son Gael. Since my nephew passed away, she has been with us. I consider them part of my family because they have always been there for us through thick and thin, and I love them as much as my blood relatives.


Life is truly grateful to those of us who have the privilege of finding those people who give us love without having those blood ties. I am grateful to God for my blood family because we are very close, and for this family that has given me life, which for me is the best gift I treasure in my heart.
