Encuentro de talentos || Atrévete [Esp-Eng]

Hoy tenemos un tema importante para todos los miembros de esta comunidad, ya que daremos nuestra opinión sobre la propuesta de esta semana: «Atrévete». La vida es un regalo precioso que recibimos al venir al mundo y, desde el momento en que llegamos, todo es una enorme bendición. Sin embargo, a veces cuestionamos lo que hemos vivido y lo que tenemos, y esto puede hacer que nos sintamos insatisfechos con lo que hemos llegado a experimentar, aunque las cosas dependan únicamente de nosotros. Somos los dueños de nuestras propias vidas y somos nosotros quienes marcamos su rumbo. Por eso, lo que queramos dependerá de nosotros, porque si quieres hacer algo que te gusta y no te atreves a hacerlo, esto te causará estrés y decepción. A menudo, por miedo a lo que dirán los demás, no salimos de nuestra zona de confort y no nos atrevemos a perseguir nuestros sueños. Nos quedamos estancados y, con el tiempo, nos damos cuenta de que no alcanzamos nuestras metas porque, en última instancia, depende de nosotros dar un paso adelante o hacer algo para que lo que queremos se haga realidad. Por eso, si nos atrevemos a hacer espacio para lo que queremos en la vida con las decisiones que tomamos, porque de eso se trata la vida: levantarse cuando se cae y volver a empezar, y no rendirse solo porque algo no ha salido bien en algún ámbito de nuestra vida. A veces somos tan crueles con nosotros mismos, nos valoramos poco y no nos atrevemos a emprender el vuelo hacia la libertad y las cosas bonitas que la vida nos depara. Debo decirles que cuando recibí el diagnóstico de cáncer, perdí toda esperanza y decidí que no quería seguir viviendo si el resto de mi vida iba a ser tan difícil. Fueron días de terrible dolor. No sabía por qué me estaba pasando esto precisamente a mí. Después de muchas lágrimas y decepciones, me dije a mí misma que no iba a dejar que esta terrible enfermedad me derrotara, porque la tristeza que había invadido mi vida en ese momento era difícil e incierta. Un día me desperté y me dije: «No es la primera vez que te caes y te levantas, así que, con la convicción de querer vivir por mi hijo, mi esposo y mi familia, me atreví a tomar la decisión de ver la vida de la forma más positiva posible, de darme los sueños y las esperanzas que deseaba, que eran ver crecer a mi hijo y, lo más importante, darme la vida que me merecía con ellos. Desde entonces, he aprendido que cada día trae una nueva oportunidad y que nuestros sueños y esperanzas son lo último a lo que debemos renunciar porque, sin ellos, no hay nada por lo que luchar ni nada por lo que avanzar. Por lo tanto, se puede decir que vivir cada momento con entusiasmo significa tener sueños, metas y proyectos que, si nos atrevemos a perseguirlos, nos dan una gran satisfacción. En esta vida, hay que fijarse metas para poder alcanzarlas. Aunque no consigas todo lo que te propones, lo más importante es ser capaz de sacar lo mejor de lo que te depara la vida. Por eso, desde entonces, he aprendido a atreverme a seguir mis sueños. No me reprimo, porque no es la primera vez que fracaso al intentar hacer lo que parece imposible, porque sé que si caigo, me levantaré tantas veces como sea necesario para lograrlo.

Today we have an important topic for all members of this community, as we will give our opinion on this week's proposal: “Be bold.” Life is a precious gift we receive when we come into the world, and from the moment we arrive, everything is an enormous blessing. However, we sometimes question what we have experienced and what we have, and this can make us feel dissatisfied with what we have come to experience, even though things depend solely on us. We are the masters of our own lives, and we are the ones who set its course. Therefore, what we want will depend on us, because if you want to do something you like and you don't dare to do it, this will cause you stress and disappointment.  


Often,  for fear of what others will say, we don't leave our comfort zone and don't dare to pursue our dreams. We get stuck and, over time, we realize that we don't achieve our goals because, ultimately, it's up to us to take a step forward or do something to make what we want a reality. Therefore, if we dare to make room for what we want in life with the decisions we make, because that's what life is all about: getting up when you fall and starting over, and not giving up just because something hasn't gone well in any area of our life. Sometimes we are so cruel to ourselves, we value ourselves little, and we don't dare to take flight toward freedom and the beautiful things that life has in store for us.

I must tell you that when I received the cancer diagnosis, I lost all hope and decided that I didn't want to go on living if the rest of my life was going to be so difficult. Those were days of terrible pain. I didn't know why this was happening to me, of all people. After many tears and disappointments, I told myself that I wasn't going to let this terrible disease defeat me, because the sadness that had invaded my life at that moment was difficult and uncertain. One day I woke up and said to myself, "This isn't the first time you've fallen down and gotten back up, so, with the conviction of wanting to live for my son, my husband, and my family, I dared to make the decision to see life in the most positive way possible, to give myself the dreams and hopes I desired, which was to see my son grow up and, most importantly, to give myself the life I deserved with them. Since then, I have learned that every day brings a new opportunity and that our dreams and hopes are the last thing we should give up because, without them, there is nothing to work for and nothing to move forward for. Therefore, it can be said that living each moment with enthusiasm means having dreams, goals, and projects that, if we dare to pursue them, give us great satisfaction.

In this life, you have to set goals in order to achieve them. Even if you don't achieve everything you set out to do, the most important thing is to be able to make the best of whatever life throws at you. That's why, since then, I've learned to dare to follow my dreams. I don't hold myself back, because it's not the first time I've failed at trying to do what seems impossible, because I know that if I fall, I'll get back up as many times as necessary to achieve it.
