Everyone has seen pictures of the Easter Island heads. They are called Moai. The first time I remember seeing them was in Super Mario Land on my Gameboy.
Easter Island is a Chilean territory and used Chilean pesos. Rongorongo is the name of the script the that the Easter Island inhabitants used. No one has been able to decipher it. This is a fantasy/souvenir bill called a Rongo.
Front: Portrait of a native Rapanui man with a face tattoo. Outer slopes of Rano Raraku volcanic crater and quarry
with monolithic sculptures called Moai, some buried to their shoulders and neck. RongoRongo symbol script.
Back: Moto Nui, Island of the Birdman cult, seen from the Orongo village with Birdman petroglyphs and MakeMake
god. Sea cliff of Rano Kau volcano at Orongo. Woodcarving of Tangata manu (bird-man). Native Rapanui man with
a face tattoo. RongoRongo symbol script.
Bill description from here
Just thought this was neat and wanted to share it real quick. I turn on an Easter Island documentary most nights that I can't fall asleep. They always have that monotone narrator voice so I've never seen the end of one!
