Whirly Hoops Bracelet - On the Road Crochet Design (Beginner - Friendly Pattern)

@theworldaroundme · 2025-09-22 19:54 · NeedleWorkMonday

Another day crocheting on the road, making use of the time while sitting in traffic.

I never had a plan for what to make. I simply picked up my blue yarn and 3.5 mm hook before leaving the house, as the colour caught my eye, it’s the same shade as the dress I was wearing.

While travelling, I spotted a wisp of beautiful, whirling clouds circling in the sky, which gave me the idea of making a chain of hoops and turning them into a bracelet.

I began with 6 chains, then slip-stitched into the first chain to form a ring, and I worked 12 single crochets all around the ring and slip-stitched into the first stitch.

After that, I repeated the process - chained 6, slip-stitched into the first chain to create another ring, and worked 12 single crochets into the ring.

Finishing each circle with a slip stitch.

Until I reached the desired length, then I secured the ends.

The advantage of this bracelet is that you don’t need a clasp, as the circles can be inserted into the last circle and hold together securely.

And I finished it in an hour.

Excited to wear it!

By the time we reached the destination, I was pleased to have made a bracelet to pair with my dress.

At home, I finalised the pattern, added some beads to accentuate it and called it..

PATTERN 🧵

Whirly Hoops Bracelet ✨

3.5 mm Crochet Hook Any light or medium-weight yarn I picked 13 - 15 silver beads, inspired by the silvery shadow in the middle of the sky, but this is optional

🧵 Instructions:

I first threaded 13 silver beads onto the yarn.

🧵 First Circle

Ch 6

Slide 1 bead close to the hook before sl st into first ch to form a ring.

Work 12 sc into the ring, encasing bead in the middle if desired. Save the 2 sc behind the beads to help it stay more centred.

Sl st into first sc to close.

🧵 Next Circles

Ch 6, slide 1 bead down.

Sl st into first ch to form a ring.

Work 12 sc into the ring. Sl st into first sc to close.

Repeat Step 2 until the bracelet reaches the desired length.

To fasten, slip the first circle through the last circle. The loops hold securely without a clasp.

Or make a loop , 6 SC and fasten off. Weave in ends neatly.

I love the combination of colours. You can make it white for clouds with silver beads to represent the shadows, but I preferred the blue with silver to match my dress.

It’s simple and ideal for beginners. Try it and have fun!

Have a lovely day, Mariah :) 🧵💙
