What is LGBTQ? Gay terms explained!!!

^{Image Source} As I've metioned on my introduction post, this account will be all about LGBTQ topics.

So what's LGBTQ?

LGBTQ is abbreviation for LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, TRANSGENDER, QUEER. And theres PANSEXUAL, ASEXUAL, BICURIOUS, etc.

Let me explain some of the terms that I know but if I'm wrong feel free to correct me.

LESBIAN

These are womens who are only attracted to females as well.

GAY

These term are commonly use for people whose in the LGBTQ community. But in definition, these are men who are only attracted to male as well.

There's a lot of terms to identify a gay person but whatever it is, make sure to respect it cause it is their choice and I'm sure they are happy of who they are.

BISEXUAL

This term is commonly used for people who are attracted to two or more gender. But it doesn't mean that they are only limited to men and women. They could be attracted to lesbian, men pansexual, or trasgender.

TRANS

Transgender and transsexual is very similar to one another.

Transgender is the term for those people who identify themselves as the opposite sex that they were assigned at birth.

While Transsexual is the term for transgenders who has went under Gender Reassignment Surgery to change the sexual organ that you were born with.

QUEER

This is the term for people who does not identify themselves as the gender that they are born with.

PANSEXUAL

Pansexual persons are those who are attracted to all gender. It does not matter if you're a man, woman, bi, trans, butch, gay or lesbian.

ASEXUAL

Asexual or "ace" are the terms used for people who does not feel any sexual desire to others.

BICURIOUS

This term is commonly used for people who are "experimenting" with the opposite sex.

There's a lot of terms to identify a gay person but whatever it is, make sure to respect it cause it is their choice and I'm sure they are happy of who they are.

I identify myself as a bisexual femme.

Yes, I am attracted to men and women. But it does not mean that you will get a pass for dating both at the same time. NO! Same rules apply! NO cheating.

I currently have a long time girlfriend. And I love her so much. And we're happy as the way we are right now.
