I swear somedays that these adorable little guys still think they can fly. It is quite common that when they stand ashore, they will lift their beak to the sky and flap their wings. I do enjoy to believe that this is a sort of attempt to see if they can fly yet. We all know the answer to that question. However, here I caught this photogenic Adelie penguin wings outstretched just after practicing this mentioned behaviour.
Part of me enjoys the concept that this photo is of the penguin ruler. He is indeed wings outstretched in an embracing pose to receive all the love and admiration from all of his subjects. Just missing bit of a crown but either way still adorable
