I tried, and it came out perfectly fine. Greetings, dear friends. Thank you for stopping by my blog. One of the themes for the week says. First time. This question actually came at the right time because I just made a local drink called kunu for the first time. Kunu is an ancient drink and it is very nutritious and healthy because, there are no chemicals in it. I grow up drinking it, I remember when we were kids, my grandma's use to safe her kunu in a clay pot and it could stay there a like a week with fermenting. And guess what guys, my kunu came out perfectly fine and my husband and kids enjoyed it. Kunu is a popular drink in the northern part of Nigeria, a very simple, natural and nutritional drink.

It's a simple drink, but if not made carefully, it might end up in disaster. While growing up I remember my mom could always make Kunu for us every weekend. And still now some of the villages use kunu as a welcome drink for visitors instead of soft drinks. Even our grandparents then, these was their soft drinks in the olden days. I don't think there is a street in the northern part of Nigeria where you walk and not see this drink Kunu.
Sorry guys, I don't have pictures of the process/how it was made, but I will tell you all what I used in making my kunu. I never thought I would share my first time experience of making kunuthis soon with you guys. So the first and important thing I got was.

millet and Guinea corn they are the most important item for Kunu, without them, then it not Kunu you are making next is
Sweet potatoes

Followed by ginger

And then cloves

Some of this ingredients are optional though, especially the ginger and cloves. So back to the main story. I also used a very boiled water without the boiled water no kunu, I was actually scared; I won't lie I was very afraid because if I made any little mistakes especially in the aspect of using the boiled water everything might go bad or might not come out well, but thank God it did came out perfectly good. I was supposed to make these drinks since last year, but fear didn't let me, but I took the bold step on Sunday, and do you know the funny part? I called my sister more than, like, 50 times for directions.

But after all the anxiety, it came out perfectly well. I'm super happy and proud of myself because I have finally won these parts. I enjoyed my kunu drink, and I am definitely going to get it again. Thank you for stopping by see you next time.
I took the bold step 🪜.
