Self control.

The unexpected. Greetings, beautiful ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for stopping by my blog. The theme for this week says peace in the mess. Our everyday struggles—one of the things that help one have peace in the mess—is self-control my thoughts, though. Something happened to me some time ago, and how I control myself and find peace is something I still can't explain.  So some time ago, my sister-in-law came visiting; at that time, my first baby was seven months old. We were cooking; I was making the stew while she was cooking white rice. I left my baby with her in the room and went into the kitchen to check what I was cooking. At that time, she was parboiling the rice, so she brought my baby into the kitchen to do what I don't know. She dropped the rice from the fire to wash, and my baby then was crawling. If you know about children very well, you will understand that the crawling stage is the most dangerous of all stages because they can destroy a lot. So she lifts him crawling in the kitchen and lifts the boiled rice water in that same place, thinking that she could keep the rice on the sink and still carry the baby before he even gets to where the boiled water is. But unfortunately he was faster than her I guess, and he poured that boiled water on his leg. Like his skin literally turn like rubber it sticks to his pants. I was in the kitchen with her, but my attention wasn't really on what she was doing because at that moment I was putting the spices in the stew I was making, so I didn't know what was happening at that time.  The only thing that got my attention was the way he cried. At that moment I don't know what I should feel. Is it to help him cry? To shout, I can't explain what happened, but I was just looking at her for almost 10 minutes without a word. And the next thing that came to my mind was to call my big sister. I did, and she told me not to panic and told me to get raw eggs with salt and just use it there, and I did. I also took him to the hospital for some proper treatment. How I find that peace in the mess I don't know, but one thing I know is that self-control helped me. Thank you for reading through. See you next time.
