Smartness pay, but connections pay more.

The theme of this week says. How easy or hard is it to earn more in your country? I'm a proud Nigerian. Making money in every aspect of life requires being smart. But for a country like Nigeria all you need to earn more is connections. In my side of the country, Smartness pays but connections pays more. If you want to earn more you need connections. While growing up, I had these thoughts that ones I go to school, it an automatic ticket to making it in life, like only the educated ones earn more. But as I grow older, I realize that to earn more in these side you need connections or hard work.  on my side of the country Nigeria, all you need to earn more is connections. Some months ago I wrote about a lady in my community who has just been given an appointment in my state. This lady I'm talking about just went to high school. Not just that, but she can't make a simple sentence in English. I mean, there are thousands of vibrant and educated youth out there who are more deserving of that position, but because she has connections, she is there doing nothing rather than receiving a salary. While people who deserve that position might be somewhere killing themselves with work that can not even feed them for a week. The only thing to do to earn more and easy is have something doing in your name, something like a business.  The honest truth is, on my side of the country Nigerian, it is very hard to earn more honestly without connections; don't get me wrong please, one can make but it takes the grace of God and being extremely smart to earn more . And then sometimes, having a good business also earn you more. But with connections it is very easy for you to earn more even without doing anything.
