And another #wednesdaywalk post after a long time of not logging my walks, and I took quite some walks in the past few months of social distancing as it was allowed as one of the few activities outdoors. For this walk I also used my bike to travel between the spots where I wanted to go for a camera walk today. So I started with a nice bike ride for a walk around a local recreation lake called Zeumeren, so I parked my bike and started my walk around this beautiful place.
The sight from where I parked my bike, showing some nice fresh greens and the reed dancing in the wind. So here I started my first part of this walk with this scenery on my right for most of the walk (so i want bother you guys with more "just" lake shots.
A typica Dutch sky above, most clouds are gone at the moment and it's starting to get warm outside,I am sitting under our porch at the moment writing this and enjoying the lovely spring weather.
Just liked the shot with the sun and the "old" look on the stumps. A lot of stumps at the moment as they have done some mayor tree maintenance over the winter. So of we go again.
A couple swans came swimming towards me, almost looking like it's a two headed swan.
And they spotted me as well, holding a close look on me all the time.
And arrived on the save dining spot they started diving for food. The gracious swan in a less elegant position. So I leave them and on with the walk cause I am only halfway on this round.
Sand extraction is what created this lake, and it's still an active site for sand extraction as you can see in this shot with some pipes lying in the fresh sand.
And back where I parked my bike some kids where playing with there kites so I had to take some shots of them flying in the wind. And after that it's back on the bike and on towards a little forest with a lake in the middle.
As I walked towards the lake here the first water i saw was covered in these blossoms from the trees standing at the water side. Giving the see trough a bit of a spooky feeling (I think so).
And a nice clear shot of the water side of this small lake where I like to go with my camera as there are almost always some nice water birds you can shoot....but not today,
Part of the route around the lake takes you to paths where you walk right trough spots like this.
As I walked back towards my bike I passed the water sight once more and this moorhen was just landing to disappear in the reeds quickly. There where also some ducks now swimming on the lake. But a bit far away from me.
On my way towards the bike this jackdaw flew in front of me also following the trail.
The last few meters of this walk are shown in this shot. But that's not the reason I took this shot as the cows are the subject of this shot. I sat on the entrance bar for a while just observing the cows for a bit.
And as I am looking at them, they are looking right back at me. And with this shot I end my walk and head back home on my bike. Hope you enjoyed this tale about my walk and see you guys back soon. I want to start participating in this great initiative of @tattoodjay more often so from now on.
A comment or up vote is always highly appreciated
Have an amazing day! Martijn.
