This time I want to tell you, last weekend my sister and I finally managed to break out of our routine and go to Rustic Market Sentul. I've been seeing photos of it all over Instagram. The European-style buildings, cool photo spots, and the cool vibes typical of Sentul. And sure enough, when we got there... we immediately fell in love with the place! 😍
TRAVEL TO RUSTIC MARKET
Since the location is in Bogor City, we decided to take the train to Bogor City. Well, from Bogor City it's only about 30-40 minutes, quite relaxing unless you encounter the weekend rush (aka slight traffic jam). Oh yeah, the road to the location is good now, just a bit uphill in some parts, which is typical of the Sentul area. Also, the parking lot is spacious, so there's no drama of just going around looking for a parking spot, hihii. After parking, we were immediately very excited to explore this place. The cool breeze immediately welcomed us and made us automatically smile like in the movies and say "Wow, this smells like heaven, hahaha".
FIRST IMPRESSION: FEELING LIKE I'M IN A EUROPEAN COUNTRY
We eagerly walked around and were immediately greeted by a rustic European-style building that was truly breathtaking, wow... Like exposed wood, large windows, mini windmills, and a really neat green garden. No kidding, every corner is really Instagrammable, really! My sister and I instinctively took out our phones to take photos before sitting down. So if you see people excitedly taking photos there, trust me, it's normal, yeah. 😆
EXPLORE THE MINI MUSEUM FIRST
Before ordering our food, we stopped by the mini museum. The collection was unique: there were classic cars in pristine condition, vintage retro bicycles, and even antique machinery that we'd only see in movies or museums in big cities. I think this is a rare added value in restaurants—you're not just eating, you're getting a new experience too.
TIME TO EAT (MY FAVORITE PART!)
Since we were already quite hungry, we finally decided to start eating. We chose to sit in the semi-outdoor area with a direct view of the garden, for what? Well... to get some light breeze, plus the chill music, and the really comfortable vibe for a casual chat. Perfect...
And this is what we ordered. First, we ordered Beef Alfredo Pasta, then we also ordered Creamy Shrimp Pasta, and then we ordered Traditional Style Smoked Chicken and iced tea. Wow... This is truly comfort food, especially when you're hungry; it's delicious and incredibly filling. It was so delicious, I even forgot to update my IG Story before taking my first bite (that's quite an achievement, you know 😂).
A HANGOUT ATMOSPHERE THAT MAKES YOU COMFORTABLE
So ... While we were eating, we chatted casually about our activities, our next vacation plans, and even random topics that were so funny that they made us laugh nonstop, hahah. The atmosphere really makes you forget the time, because the place is designed to chill and relax. There are indoor and air-conditioned and also outdoor for those who want fresh air plus a view, wow ... My suggestion is to choose the outdoor one, because eating while enjoying the view is the best combination!
PRICES & MINIMUM ORDER SYSTEM
Now this is very important. Entry to Rustic Market is actually free, but there's a minimum order of Rp. 100,000 per adult. Children under 17 are exempt from this rule. So, to put it simply, if your order is under that amount, just add more to the menu until it's just right. It's worth it, considering it's not just a restaurant, but a restaurant plus a museum experience & cool photo spots. You won't regret it!
TIPS FOR GETTING THE MOST OUT OF RUSTIC MARKET
- Come in the morning or afternoon → Mornings are cooler and quieter, while evenings are more romantic with the lights starting to come on.
- Wear a cool outfit → Since there are tons of photo spots, it's a shame not to take some photos.
- Bring a fully charged camera/phone → Trust me, you'll want to take lots of photos.
- Make a reservation when it's busy → This will save you the hassle of finding a table during peak hours.
- Come on a weekday if possible → It's quieter, with a more private and relaxed vibe.

It was a super fun day and successfully recharged my sister and me. Rustic Market Sentul isn't just about delicious food; it's also about the experience. It has a European vibe, cool air, a mini museum that piques your curiosity, and food that will make you happy.
