Backpacker of Body and Soul [ #1 Travel Trilogy ]

Yes. There's no other way. The best way to define myself is this: Backpacker of body and soul. That statement contains my first and last name. That´s who I am.

Dear nephews and nieces of the @lifestyle community, I am writing this letter from the depths of my being; following the guidelines of the post published here by the administrators of the #community itself. For me, traveling is a lifestyle.

It's not that I like to discover new destinations (which is also the case). But I truly consider myself a backpacker of body and soul, no matter what and wherever I am. Whether I wear a collar and tie or I'm naked, whether I ride a bike or a Rolls-Royce, whether I sleep in Iberostar Hotels (my favorite chain) or on the living stone of the road...

That's who I am, period.

I know that my highest definition here on planet Earth would be: Father. There's no doubt about that. However, I may have already mentioned that, if it were possible not to mention that quality (impossible), being a traveler would express my entire essence. And beyond that, in the superlative degree, it would be better to say that my basic philosophy is to be a backpacker.

Why do I say this? Is there a difference between a backpacker and a traveler? For me, yes.

For those who aren't clear on these terms, let's differentiate them with two broad traits that could easily be formulated into a specific nomenclature. While both principles are based on visiting destinations, a traveler is anyone who travels; while a backpacker is someone who makes their rucksack a lifestyle.

If I speak like my math teacher, we can therefore conclude that a backpacker is a traveler, but a traveler is not always a backpacker. There you have it! Fork-of-the-Roads Theorem of Relativity. Mathematical Theorist: @tiolucioviajero. Hahaha.

If we're serious: at the same time, this dividing line can shift, blend, dilute, disappear, or even increase in every entrepreneur who forms, or rather, shapes, their life amidst the ups and downs of human intertextuality. And this isn't part of our incoherence...

Uncle Lucio the Traveler

I don't seek to travel for nothing. I'm a hunter of anecdotes. I collect messages that touch my spirituality, then I pour them into My Travel Log; that Personal Blog that is also part of my lifeblood.

I pursue a form of introspective expression. Like someone who loves communicating with others and then runs in search of those who speak the most; to listen to them. Instead of expressing oneself or externalizing ideas, travel is a language toward the interior.

A single destination that circles the intertwined recesses of landscapes (more dreamlike than material) and their own voices, which I appropriate, digest, and wrap myself in.

It is the gift of listening through all the senses. Silently interpreting the gaze of that girl, the moaning of the trees, the different voices of the wind in its personal troubles, the whisper of the mountains, the music of the streams, the cries of walled cities, the throbbing of the streets, the deafening aridity of the desert, the loving gesture of the night under the veil of stars, the labored breathing of the waves of that irreducible ocean…

I am a nomad. No matter how much the walls of imposed conformity imprison me. This is my #lifestyle. I ride, or am ridden by the wandering destiny of one who has no earthly ties. (Except for one splendid daughter.) The dream of local independence illuminates my path. That's all for today. This will be the first post in a Travel Trilogy. Before I say goodbye, I want to remind my #hivers friends @kpoulout, @adaletitiritero, and @vazqueztravels that I owe them a #trip. I hope we can make it happen sooner than I think.

Mochilero de Cuerpo y Alma [ #1 Trilogía Viajera ]

Sí. No hay de otra. La mejor manera de autodefinirme es esa: Mochilero de cuerpo y alma. En esa afirmación están mi nombre y apellidos. Es lo que soy. Queridos sobrin@s de la comunidad @lifestyle les escribo esta carta desde lo más profundo de mi ser; siguiendo las pautas del post publicado acá, por los administradores de la propia #comunidad. Y es que para mí viajar es un estilo de vida. No es que me guste conocer nuevos destinos (que también es el caso). Sino que en verdad me considero mochilero de cuerpo y alma, sea como sea y dónde me halle. Vista de cuello y corbata o esté desnudo, vaya en Bici o en Rol-Royce, duerma en Hoteles Iberostar (mi cadena favorita) o en la piedra viva del camino…

Eso soy, y punto.

Sé que mi definición mayor acá en el planeta Tierra sería: Padre. De eso no cabe duda. Sin embargo, acaso ya les haya comentado alguna vez que, si fuese posible no mencionar esa cualidad (imposible); ser viajero expresaría toda mi esencia. Y más allá de eso, en grado superlativo, abarcaría mejor decir que mi filosofía básica es ser Mochilero.

¿Por qué digo esto? ¿Existe alguna diferencia entre mochilero y viajero? Para mí sí.

A quienes no tengan claro estos términos, diferenciémoslos con dos grandes rasgos que bien podría formular una nomenclatura específica. Si bien ambos principios se basan en visitar destinos, el viajero es cualquiera que viaje; mientras que el Mochilero es quien hace de su mochila un estilo de vida.

Si hablo como mi profe de Mathes podemos concluir por tanto que un mochilero es un viajero, pero un viajero no siempre es mochilero. ¡Ya está! Teorema de la relatividad bifurcada de los caminos. Teórico matemático: @tiolucioviajero. Jajaja.

Si hablamos serio: al mismo tiempo, esta línea divisoria puede variar, mezclarse, diluirse, desaparecer, o hasta acrecentarse en cada emprendedor que forma, o mejor, conforma su vida entre vaivenes de las intertextualidades humanas. Y esto no es parte de nuestra incoherencia…

Tío Lucio el viajero

No busco viajar y nada más. Soy un cazador de anécdotas. Recopilo mensajes que llegan a mi espiritualidad, luego me desbordo en Mi Bitácora de Viajes; ese Blog Personal que también es parte de mi sangre. Persigo una forma de expresión introspectiva. Como quien ama comunicarse con los demás y entonces corre en busca de quienes más hablan; para escucharles. En vez de expresarse o exteriorizar ideas, viajar es un lenguaje hacia el interior.

Un solo destino que circunda por los recovecos entrelazados de los paisajes (más oníricos que materiales) y sus propias voces de las que me apropio, digiero, me arropo.

Es el don de la escucha a través de todos los sentidos. Interpretar en silencio la mirada de aquella muchacha, el gemir de los árboles, las diferentes voces del viento en sus trastornos personales, el susurro de las montañas, la música de los arroyuelos, los gritos de ciudades amuralladas, el palpitar de las calles, la aridez ensordecedora del desierto, el gesto cariñoso de la noche bajo el velo estelar, la respiración entrecortada de las olas de ese océano irreductible…

Soy nómada. No importa cuanto me apresen las paredes de la conformidad impuesta. Este es mi estilo de vida. Cabalgo, o me cabalga el destino errante de quien no posee ataduras terrenales. (Salvo una hija espléndida). El sueño de la independencia local ilumina mi derrotero. Hasta aquí por hoy. Este será el primer post de una Trilogía Viajera. Antes de despedirme quiero recordarle a mis #amigos #hivers @kpoulout, @adaletitiritero y @vazqueztravels, que les debo un #viaje. Espero podamos concretarlo antes de lo pensado.
