The end of October was busy. I didn't expect that the last ten days of October would be filled with so many activities: going to literacy classes and meeting friends I hadn't seen in a long time. While I don't have any days off until December, I'm making the most of my time by working, meeting friends occasionally, and running.
This week in particular, I only managed to go running once on Saturday. This was partly because the rainy season has started and it often rains at the end of the year. Yesterday, it was very cloudy, so I wasn't sure whether to go. However, my body, literally my limbs, felt heavy and needed to run, so with determination, I left at the usual time: 4pm.
The car park was already crowded, a sign that I would meet many runners or walkers on the jogging track. After warming up, as usual, I started moving. Yep... sure enough, the track was crowded with people. Even though the wind was really strong, I still ran at a leisurely pace.

There was an interesting story yesterday. A runner in front of me, a man, was consistently running at a slow pace. He had good posture and form, and I was sure he was training for VO2 max because he was constantly checking his smartwatch on his left wrist.
I know that VO2 max training is very important for performance and durability, but to be honest, I've never tried it. Perhaps I should make an effort to do VO2 max training, including intervals.
I completed my 5 kilometres in 34 minutes and 39 seconds, with an average pace of 6:52/km, or what you might call a 7-minute pace. After finishing my run, I did some cool-down exercises and sat for a while by the lake before finally deciding to go home.

That's the recap of my run. Thank you for reading. See you at the next run.

Hi, I am the child of the universe, I like to read books with various genres. I was born in the city of batik but can't draw batik yet. I want to be a novelist, but my works are only short poems that are included in anthology books.
