Hello, ASEAN hive.
I have an interesting story from my recent solo trip. To save money, including on accommodation, I finally discovered a backpacker-friendly hostel. I had to diligently scroll through specialized accommodation booking apps. I used about three apps for comparison. Finally, I found one that piqued my curiosity and made me want to book it.
Besides the price, of course, the location was also important. Since it was in a strategic area, I happily read various reviews on the website. Once I was sure, I booked the hostel.

I think this is more appropriately called a homestay or hostel, because it's more like a shared accommodation than a standard hotel, even if it's a second-class one.
You can see from the front that this hostel looks like a house that's also being used as a guesthouse? It looks like my neighbor's house, LOL. But okay, we shouldn't judge things based on just one glance.
Upon entering, there was a man ready to greet guests. It was still quite early in the morning, actually. I wasn't planning on checking in this early. I just needed to store my super heavy bag and charge my phone because I was going to be walking around the city. You know what's great? The owner let me check in early. Yay!
This is really a lucky thing, you know?
Okay, I really didn't have high expectations for my room. And it turned out to be very simple. There was only a simple bed, but the sheets were clean. There was a working fan, and a dressing table complete with chairs and a clean, large mirror. I think this is perfect for a backpacker like me. I've even checked the door lock and it works well.

In front of the room are chairs and a table for relaxing. In the morning, hot tea is provided for the tenants.

There are two floors in total. I was on the first floor and in room number one. What I liked was that the toilet and shower were in separate cubicles. At least this keeps things clean and smells good. And it keeps the toilet area dry, right?

Yeah... even though it's simple, if it's kept this clean, I'm really happy. Besides, I'm not particularly picky, as long as it's clean, quiet, and safe.
Ah... I remember earlier, walking from the front of the alley to this inn. I saw the road was paved with bricks and very clean, although narrow. This alley is indeed the inn's area. I need to walk at least fifty meters outside the alley if I want to avoid the crowds.

That's roughly the story of my unique inn. Hahaha. Thank you for reading my post.
