Hello, book lovers … By the way, do you have a book title or author whose book you have listed for a long time but you have forgotten and never bought or read it? Yesterday, I greeted an old friend who is also a reader. We used to be in the same community and in terms of distance, the cities where we live are close. However, the point I want to emphasize here is because my friend created content about books and he reminded me of a forgotten author. Yep… Franz Kafka! In the past, I don't know why I really liked Kafka's quotes to the point that I really wanted to read his works, but it never happened, so while I remembered and was still very interested, I read one of Franz Kafka's very famous works. Especially if it's THE METAMORPHOSIS. Which in the Indonesian version is titled METAMORFOSA SAMMSA --- ## ***METAMORFOSA SAMSA*** --- ![METAMORFOSA_SAMSA.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/titisnariyah/23uQpMJPDAtT2fd7cDaKmrYL17ZFgaTLHbFkx9q6oPBDKWvpg3LA4ouWZ7eLaomENrtE2.jpg) [P](https://mizanstore.com/metamorfosa_samsa_franz_kafka_60556) --- ![61zETrlpLKL._UF1000,1000_QL80_FMwebp_.webp](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/titisnariyah/23uQpeerH9YsbbQ1ptMJQAVtNMGbyUDqujqaYEeJfvh6bhhPz91QaRru5TqbqfBEfauyH.webp) [P](https://www.amazon.com/Metamorphosis-Peter-Kuper/dp/1400052998) --- Is a book with a thickness of less than a hundred pages that is full of moral messages. A boy, the eldest son of the Samsa family, wakes up in the morning realizing that he has transformed into a giant insect. Yep, the question in many readers might be about the reason behind why someone suddenly transforms? Is he cursed like in fantasy films? Gregor Samsa, who is a traveling marketer with boring activities and a schedule that meets many people all day long, suddenly has to accept that he has become an insect and can no longer go anywhere. He can no longer enjoy his life as a human being, he can no longer be the pride of his family because he is the backbone of the Samsa family after his father's business went bankrupt. Also, Samsa can no longer dream of sending his only sister to her sister Grete's dream music school. --- ![FotoJet-12-7963224.webp](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/titisnariyah/23ywuiE1ZdaT5BGCJxy8ALfjzaiCk6xH9EszTsveLXwKPCUX8L3YDuU9rSLPaKvgHeMJf.webp) [P](https://www.nongkrong.co/apresiasi/amp/4318474443/metamorfosa-gregor-samsa-dalam-interpretasi-franz-kafka) --- The feeling of despair because he has lost his existence as a human being, the feeling of despair when he adapts to his new body shape, and the feeling of misery because he is slowly being isolated. --- THE PAGE THAT FEEL LACKING --- Why do I say that? Because when I heard the story of Gregor Samsa, even the premise was very interesting and when I really read the book, I concluded that this book really had to have more pages. As an ordinary person who is used to black and white, readers must also want a resolution to Gregor's fate. After all, what did Gregor do wrong that he had to experience such a sad fate? It doesn't mean that Kafya's work is not good. It's so good that I'm surprised how someone could think of a way of such miserable alienation. About: How does it feel for someone who was originally useful to become completely useless and even considered troublesome? How does it feel for someone who is suddenly helpless to continue loving the people around him that he usually loves? How does someone continue to think about the fate of the person he loves while he is actually being alienated? Then, what if you were that person? Reading Metamorphosis Samsa makes me feel like I woke up in a liminal time. It feels empty, sad, and hollow. What if my life ends like Gregor Samsa? I remember Samsa's message in the foreword, that if someone reads this book and doesn't see it as just a story about insects, then Kafka considers that person to have succeeded in reading his book. So, are you challenged to read THE METAMORPHOSIS? If you are also a Kafka reader, please tell me what good things I should read next? Thanks for reading. See you in the next review ---
