Maybe you're so disciplined that you can't default your rules. Those rules might be:
To always be punctual in any gathering.
To never miss an appointment/duty. Etc!
But on second thought, if it has to do with life and death. Would you go against your own order to save a life?
I hope you do. Because one's life is more important than keeping to your rules.
If breaking your rules is the only way to help a soul, do it to help that soul.
If breaking your rules is the only way to improve an organization, do it for the sake of the organization.
When the Pharisees wanted to accuse Jesus of breaking the law by healing on a Sabbath day. Jesus asked them that if they can leave their sheep to fall in a pit on a Sabbath day. None of them replied.
Breaking rules may sometimes be the only way for things to ever improve.
I urge you all not to harden your heart to keep to your rules at the expense of a life.
