I am proud to say I am a baker yes, I truly am. Baking is not just what I do for a living; it is what I love doing from the bottom of my heart. Morning, afternoon, or even late at night, I can bake without getting tired. It brings me joy and peace in a way that nothing else does.

My love for baking started back in my secondary school days, when things were still cheaper, and I could easily buy ingredients to experiment with. I didn’t know much about measurements then, so I used to just mix things the way I thought was right. Sometimes the cake would come out too hard, too soft, or even burnt, but I never gave up. My sister and brother were my first taste testers. They would eat whatever I baked, laugh about it, and still encourage me. They also told me what I should improve on, and that helped me learn little by little.

After I finished my higher institution, I decided to take baking more seriously. I went for proper training to learn the right way to bake and decorate cakes. That was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Today, I bake cakes for birthdays, weddings, and other occasions, and I thank God that people love my work. Each time I see the smile on a customer’s face after tasting my cake, I feel so fulfilled. Though I still need many equipment like a mixer, light for good quality picture and some others equipment but for now I am using what I have.

Baking has taught me patience, creativity, and consistency. It has also opened doors for me to meet people and make money doing what I love. Sometimes it gets stressful, especially the part of washing many dishes after every baking and decoration but I always remind myself that this is my passion. I am grateful for how far I’ve come, and I’m still learning new techniques every day. Truly, baking is not just my skill it’s part of who I am.
