Hello, my beloved HIVE friends in this garden group. Today, I'm going to share how I recently harvested some eggplants I grew myself. I'm so happy, because for those of us who enjoy gardening, harvesting is the most rewarding experience. While the results may not always be satisfactory, picking the fruits of our harvest brings a sense of satisfaction.
Recently, I've been busy clearing a new field to plant eggplants. This variety is very easy to care for. It's pest-resistant and produces fruit continuously as long as the plant remains fertile. This saves me both energy and money. It's like planting once and harvesting continuously.
I grow these eggplants on about 200 square meters of land, and there are already about 50 eggplant plants. I harvest about 5-10 kg every four days. I sell this crop to local vegetable vendors for Rp 5,000 per kg. Despite the low price, these eggplants make me happy. I can use them to pay for my motorbike's gas. Hehehe
I personally don't like eggplant, and I dislike any type of eggplant. I planted it yesterday with the intention of selling it, as many people say it's the easiest plant to care for. Plant it once and harvest it continuously. If the plant is good, it can bear fruit for up to three years. That's why I was interested in growing it.
I plan to grow these eggplants on a larger plot of land. I find gardening to be healthy, not only making you sweat, but also calming and reducing stress. Now, my job is to find someone else's land to cultivate and plant, preferably for free, if possible.
If you enjoy gardening, you can certainly relate to what I'm feeling right now. Harvesting and picking eggplants is incredibly rewarding. There's a certain sense of satisfaction.
