After the powerful Hurricane Melissa hit the eastern part of the country and its feeder bands brought rain to a large portion of the nation, I hadn't been able to take my usual Wednesday morning walk.
The weather really hasn't been kind to us, and the damage it caused broke my heart.

But, as the Puerto Rican singer José says Feliciano said, “After the storm comes the calm,” and I took advantage of this day to resume my morning walk, as prescribed by the doctor, as a way to exercise and help my ailing health improve a bit from some of the problems I've been experiencing lately.
Looking upwards with my Samsung J2 phone, I can see that there are still clouds in the sky, suggesting that the rain will continue or, at least, that we'll have humid weather for the next few days. The good news is that the high temperatures and sweltering heat will be gone for a while.

Continuing my walk to the doctor's appointment, I can see that not everything The intense rains that fell across the country had a negative impact, as the lush green trees testify to the importance of water not only for humans but also for plants.
Another element I admired on my walk was the prominence of the royal palm, our national tree. The ones I'm showing you here are so tall and beautiful that they're worth seeing again and again.
As you can see, my walk was surrounded by lush vegetation, and I'm talking about the weather. My love for nature must be getting the better of me.
That concludes my Wednesday walk.
