yes, last week of stress, last push to get everything ready and covered before starting my annual vacation, which I need more than ever this year. I need a complete reset to come back full of energy and push through another year of my working life, getting closer to my planned goal of "freedom."
This year we're staying in the country, traveling about 3,000 km, but visiting places I'm still unfamiliar with in the north.
The goal is also to escape the beach tourists who flood my nearby coast and visit less-visited beaches, perhaps because of the cooler climate, but certainly more beautiful.
Later, and before the end of my vacation period, we have booked a rural house in the Catalan Pyrenees. The goal in this house is to fully enjoy nature and practice the contemplative life.
Does that sound like a good plan? For me it is....
