First day of vacation, excluding the weekend of course, I got up early with the intention of making the most of the day. I took the dog out, bought some bread, and made an appointment for the hairdresser, as my hair has been pretty messy lately... Later, mid-morning, I had a coffee on a quiet terrace... watching the passersby, nothing more...
I tried to mentally disconnect from work, knowing I still have colleagues in the office and trying not to check my company email...
They called me at noon, "fire" on the project... shit!
Fortunately, we resolved it with a 10-minute phone call... damn, isn't it possible to disconnect here?
I've spoken with a colleague again and left a very clear OUT OF OFFICE message, alerting them that in case of emergencies they should call my colleague directly, whom I hope will respect my rest...
I went to clean the car, inside and out... everything's fine.
I think I've managed to disconnect... I plan to spend this day doing nothing productive... nothing.
It's not that easy; you can see me writing here, and breaking established routines also takes its toll.
This afternoon, I plan to update my investment portfolio and place limit orders with the broker for certain stocks that may offer a buying opportunity if Trump allows it... I wouldn't like to be AFK when that opportunity arises, so I'd rather leave it pre-programmed... then, nothing more... I have two days to spare. On Wednesday, we'll get in the car and head 1,000 km west... into nowhere. I need to clear my brain...
