First day of work...
I'm taking it easy. It's been a long, fantastic vacation, and I don't want to screw up my brain before it's due, so I'm busy catching up on corporate emails, sorting out some minor bureaucratic issues, and generally not being productive...yet.
The key to not falling into the deepest work-related depression from day one is to be lazy about work for two or three days.
No one's going to criticize you for your lack of "productivity" during the first week after vacation. Besides, in my case, I don't have many people reporting to me; I actually have people under me. So, a couple of emails to maintain a little healthy "tension" with my subordinates are necessary so that "no one falls asleep" these days. But no, I'm not the kind of jerk boss who upsets his employees the first week after vacation... or at least, I think I am.
Besides, today isn't a nice day weather-wise.
We woke up to a bit of a cool, rainy day, and so far it's cloudy...
I think I'll take advantage of the midday to hit the track for some training...
This gives me the advantage of being able to write a few lines here, also to say that I'm participating in #HPUD Day... Not with much stake, but in the end, everything adds up, so my contribution for today is only 20 HIVE, enough to get the corresponding badge...
