What is Topcomment?
Topcomment is a comment curation service that rewards meaningful and engaging comments on the Hive blockchain. The Topcomment is a team of curators that searches for engagning comments that deserve to be rewarded. We do this because we think that leaving meaningful comments on blogs is really important. What is blogging worth when you don't get any meaningful comments or replies as "Great blog" or "Nice pictures"?
By reading the comments and manually upvoting them, we give the commenters some appreciation in the form of curation rewards. All of our upvotes are done manually! We upvote comments in different languages (we also curators that speak Spanish and we translate other languages).
Apart from the comments we find ourselves, every Hiver can also nominate a comment for a @topcomment upvote, just by mentioning us in the reply of that comment. Our curators will check if it complies with our rules and upvote it when it does.

Our goal
As mentioned above, the goal of the @topcomment Curation Service is to reward Hivers that leave high quality and engaging comments on blogs. By doing this we hope to achieve that more people feel encouraged to respond to blogs and there will be more engagement on Hive.
Earlier this year, I also wrote out about a concrete goal I would like to achieve with this @topcomment service. In one of our weekly report blogs I wrote that, I would love to see that we could give an upvote that is worth $1 by the end of the year. With our stake, our delegations and the the current price of Hive, our upvote is $0.22
That's still far from the $1 goal, but I still think it is possible. But for this we need some support!
With a higher vote we would be able to give higher upvotes or choose to lower the percentage of the upvote and upvote more comments.
Supporting @topcomment with a delegation
The upvotes we give are based on our own stake and our delegations. The more delegations, the higher the rewards we can give away! As a delegators to the @topcomment Curation Service you also profit from the upvotes we give since we return 80% of the curation rewards to the delegators. We do this automatically on a daily basis. The payment comes in the form of liquid Hive. So if you find your Voting Power frequently at 100%, delegating some of your stake to @topcomment could be a good option.
For delegating to topcomment can use the following tool. It works with Hive Keychain, so it is safe. You can change the amount you want to delegate. Every delegation is appreciated. A lot of small delegations will become a large amount alltogether.

Upvoting our reports
If you want use your Hive stake well yourself, you might not want delegate to too many projects. In that case we are also very happy to receive an upvote from you every now and then. How the funds are used
Our project has two 'income streams'; curation- and post rewards. As already mentioned above, 80% of the curation rewards will be given back to our delegators. 10% of the curation rewards will be distributed to our curators. This 10% will be divided over the 5 curators, based on the number of upvotes they have given. The last 10% is being used to grow the account. The post rewards are all Powered Up into the account and immediately have impact on our outgoing votes.
Transparency
As mentioned above, we provide a weekly #topcommentreport where you can check how many and even which comments were upvoted. Besides that, all transactions are visible on the blockchain as well. We try to diversify the disctribution of votes. We are with five curators from different countries, different genders, different ages and different interests.
The diagram above shows an overview of the acccounts that received the most votes in the past weeks. We see some people that have revceived some more upvotes, but we also see a lot of different names. That shows we really diversify our upvotes.
