Sama' dance is a sufi's dance that contains spinning around while you are like ecstasy with the purpose of moral . This dance has a old background and from the past 'till now had many disagreements .
Sama' dancers are affected by instrumentals like tambourine , Daf , Ney (kind of flute) and some melodic poems predominantly by a poet called " Molana " .
Sama' means listening ad hearing voices that are melodic and when they are amused they look at the sky and pray they do it while dancing and in Avesta ( Zartosht's book ) Sama' means sky . This dance is spiritual and has full of positive energies .
The spinning of this dance means the time is immortal or all the planets go around the sun . When they dance one hand is up and one hand is down it has a philosophy that says it makes a bridge between sky and earth or it's a connection between gnostics and God .
Also they wear long white clothes with a long hat . You can mostly see these dances in Turkey because Molana's grave is there and there are more sufis there but there are sufis in Iran because Molana is an Iranian poet .
