Southern folk music of Iran has the feeling of its nature and weather , it's warm , ful of power and joy .this music belongs to some of Iran's states like : • Hormozgan • Bushehr • Khuzestan And mostly it has a happy rhythm .
In these states ,except the natives , they are black African people whom immigrant from there to south of Iran ; because of that , this music is like African music and for playing this songs people use special instrumentals like : Damam or Senj .
Also people call this music "bandari" ( it means port) because these states are near the ports .
SAEID SHANBEHZADEH is an Iranian artist and music composer from the southern city of Bushehr, who started playing music at a young age with the old masters of the folk music at the time. 1990 marks the year he founded the "Shanbehzadeh Ensemble" and thus the beginning of his professional career.
That same year, the band won the first prize at the Fajr Music Festival in Tehran. Over the years, they have performed in France, Spain, and the US, taking the Iranian folk music scene to the world. The band is led by Saeid Shanbehzadeh, with his son, Naghib .
