There are a huge number of cat breeds. But I'm still confident that there's nothing better than an ordinary gray striped cat for my house.

Maybe it's just a prejudice, because my first cat is just an ordinary cat. She was born to a street cat and came to us quite by accident. Then we were just starting our first experience of living in a country house and faced the problem of mice. It was unexpected and I didn't know what to do with it!

But the little gray kitten knew exactly what to do. She solved my problem easily and naturally. Not only mice, but also rats were afraid to even approach my house.

But that's not all. My cat Katya is an amazing creature. She became the real mistress of everything related to animals. She met every new dog or cat, comforted them (after all, only abandoned animals get into our house) and explained to them the rules of life in our house.
In these photos, Katya is still a kitten. She's old now. However, she has prepared a worthy replacement for herself. These are the same former street kittens like herself. They are all excellent mousetraps and get along well with any animals in our house
