Hello dear friends of Hive Garden, on this occasion I want to share with you a little about our new project at the El Manzanillo Biodiversity Refuge @elmanzanillo , it is nothing more and nothing less than a seedbed of native trees of the Colombian Pacific, at an altitude of approximately 2,800 meters above sea level. Our seedbed will be composed mostly of these three trees: Cachafruto or Mountain Bean, Nacedero, Yarumo. These three species are resistant and fast-growing, making them a perfect option for our project.
Hola queridos amigos de Hive Garden, en esta ocasión quiero compartirles un poco de nuestro nuevo proyecto en el Refugio de Biodiversidad el Manzanillo @elmanzanillo , se trata de nada mas y nada menos que un semillero de arboles nativos del Pacifico Colombiano, a una altura aproximada de 2800 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Nuestro semillero se va a componer en su gran mayoria de estos tres arboles: Cachafruto o Frijol de Monte, Nacedero, Yarumo. Estas tres especies son resistentes y de rapido crecimiento, por lo que son una alternativa perfecta para nuestro proyecto.

Yarumo (Cecropia spp) It is an ideal tree for restoring tropical forests, resilient, large, and fast-growing.

What does the project entail? The El Manzanillo Biodiversity Refuge is launching an initiative to protect and restore the tropical forests of the Colombian Pacific. Through the sale of promotional buttons inspired by the flora and fauna of the area, we aim to raise funds to transplant these trees and restore and conserve the biodiversity of these beautiful tropical forests. Each button inspired by our flora and fauna costs 10,000 COP, approximately 2.50 USD. For every three buttons sold, a native tree from the three specimens shown above will be transplanted.
En que consiste el proyecto? El Refugio de Biodiversidad el manzanillo lanza una iniciativa de protección y restauración de los bosques tropicales del Pacifico Colombiano. Por medio de la venta de botones publicitarios inspirados en flora y fauna del sector, pretendemos recoger fondos para trasplantar estos arboles y restaurar y conservar la biodiversidad de estas hermosas selvas tropicales. Cada botón inspirado en nuestra flora y fauna tiene un costo de 10.000 COP, aproximadamente 2.50 USD. Cada tres botones vendidos se trasplantara un árbol nativo de los tres ejemplares que les mostramos anteriormente.
This is how our seedbed is going: With approximately three months of work and germination, our seedbed is now progressing. We're building a greenhouse measuring approximately 4 x 2 meters. We need to cover the roof with greenhouse plastic and the sides with shade cloth to protect from the cold and pests.
Así vamos con nuestro semillero: Con aproximadamente tres meses de trabajo y germinación así va nuestro semillero, estamos construyendo una ramada de aproximadamente 4 x 2 metros. Necesitamos cubrir la parte del techo con plástico de invernadero y los laterales con polisombra para proteger del frio y de plagas.
With the purchase of each button, you support the restoration of tropical forests in the Colombian Pacific, promoting a business system with social, ecological, and educational impact. Exclusive content will be presented to collaborators about the monitoring of the tree species being transplanted. The project is aimed at people committed to the environment and nature lovers.
Con la compra de de cada botón apoyas a la restauración de los bosques tropicales de la selva del Pacifico Colombiano, promoviendo un sistema de negocio con impacto social, ecológico y educativo. Se presentara contenido exclusivo a los colaboradores del seguimiento de las especies de arboles que se trasplanten. El proyecto va dirigido a personas comprometidas con el medio ambiente y amantes de la naturaleza.
