Hi Everyone,
I've been super busy recently as it is was school holiday so had the kids driving me crazy. We took a weekend away with some friends, 5 families, 22 of us! It was a hectic weekend away but luckily most of the kids are old enough to look after themselves so it wasn't too bad of a weekend.
The drive from Sydney was around 2hrs and on the way we had a stopover at Macdonalds for a snack. The house had enough bedrooms for all families and the kids all slept in the same room (boys and girls in different rooms). At it is currently winter in Australia, I was glad there were 2 fireplaces around the house to keep us warm. The pool was supposed to be heated but it didn't work properly but the kids didn't mind. There was also a hot tub which was great for those who were super cold from the pool they would jump in.
Our full day we had a mini hike to Kangaroo Valley and the view was spectacular. The weekend ended very quickly, we ate heaps of food and lots of interesting conversation. On our way back, we stopped over the temple at Woollongong, it was a nice break for our drive home. The kids are back at school now, I guess I have to catch up on lots of laundry and getting the house back to order.
