Hola, mi nombre es Alfonzo Traviezo, tengo 18 años de edad y actualmente soy un atleta de calistenia especializado principalmente en los ejercicios estáticos.
Mi historia comienza cuando estudiaba en la escuela técnica de Cagua, en el estado Aragua. Recuerdo perfectamente el día en que vi a unos compañeros realizar estáticos impecables y ejecutar muscle ups con tanta facilidad que me dejó asombrado. Desde ese momento, algo en mí hizo clic. Me llamó muchísimo la atención y decidí comenzar a entrenar con toda la dedicación posible.
Hello, my name is Alfonzo Traviezo, I am 18 years old, and I am currently a calisthenics athlete specializing mainly in static exercises.
My story begins when I was studying at the technical school in Cagua, in the state of Aragua. I remember perfectly the day I saw some classmates performing flawless static exercises and executing muscle-ups with such ease that it left me amazed. From that moment on, something clicked inside me. It caught my attention and I decided to start training with all the dedication I could muster.

Con el tiempo, ese esfuerzo empezó a dar frutos. Actualmente soy campeón nacional en la categoría amateur, título que obtuve en diciembre de 2024 durante una competición en Valencia, estado Carabobo. Siempre he destacado en los ejercicios estáticos, ya que han sido mi mayor fortaleza. Aunque los dinámicos también me atraen, no les he dedicado el mismo tiempo o energía.
He participado en otras competencias y exhibiciones, aunque no siempre he logrado destacar como quisiera. Fue en una de esas competencias pasadas donde conocí a un amigo que me habló de la comunidad SWC. Me contó sobre los beneficios de ser miembro y cómo brinda la oportunidad de competir en escenarios más profesionales. Quiero agradecer especialmente a Luis Lezama por darme esta oportunidad y abrirme las puertas a esta gran familia.
Over time, that effort began to pay off. I am currently the national champion in the amateur category, a title I won in December 2024 during a competition in Valencia, Carabobo state. I have always excelled at static exercises, as they have been my greatest strength. Although I am also attracted to dynamic exercises, I have not devoted the same amount of time or energy to them.
I have participated in other competitions and exhibitions, although I have not always managed to stand out as I would like. It was at one of those past competitions that I met a friend who told me about the SWC community. He told me about the benefits of being a member and how it provides the opportunity to compete in more professional settings. I want to especially thank Luis Lezama for giving me this opportunity and opening the doors to this great family.

Mis objetivos ahora son claros: competir más, ser reconocido tanto dentro como fuera de la comunidad SWC, mejorar constantemente mi nivel y, en un futuro, tener discípulos que quieran iniciarse en la calistenia. Para algunos, este deporte puede ser solo una actividad física, pero para mí ha sido una salida, un camino que me ha enseñado disciplina, constancia y superación personal.
Mi mayor sueño es que en Venezuela se reconozca oficialmente la calistenia y que llegue a ser considerada un deporte nacional. Me he esforzado mucho para llegar hasta donde estoy y, sin duda, entrar a SWC es una meta cumplida.
Agradezco de corazón por aceptarme y permitirme formar parte de esta gran comunidad. Estoy seguro de que lo mejor está por venir.
My goals are now clear: to compete more, to be recognized both inside and outside the SWC community, to constantly improve my level, and, in the future, to have disciples who want to get started in calisthenics. For some, this sport may be just a physical activity, but for me it has been an outlet, a path that has taught me discipline, perseverance, and self-improvement.
My biggest dream is for calisthenics to be officially recognized in Venezuela and for it to be considered a national sport. I have worked hard to get where I am, and without a doubt, joining SWC is a goal achieved.
I am truly grateful for accepting me and allowing me to be part of this great community. I am sure that the best is yet to come.
