*So when we look at the world today, you do not even need anyone to explain to you that things indeed have changed, you see before, people used to choose a career because they do genuinely loved it, you see someone would say, i want to be a teacher because I love helping children to learn, Or that I want to be a nurse because I want to care for people, but now? Omo, everybody just wants to secure the bag, see passion is not even a thing, they tell you money must be made.*

*Okay take Hospitals for example, something that is supposed to be like a place of healing, now sometimes it feels like business centers, when you walk in and before they even check your temperature, they will hand you bills, imagine someone is suffering and before you can even get help, they are already asking for your deposit, okay o , I do understand that running a hospital costs money, but should making profit really come before saving a life?*
*It's even same thing with schools, you know education used to be about knowledge, growth, and shaping someone’s future, now it is school fees this, school fees that, and sometimes the quality of teaching does not even match the amount being paid, students are stressed, parents are stressed, and even teachers themselves are stressed because the pay is not encouraging in any way, so some teachers don start seeing teaching as survival job instead of something they enjoy.*
*And honestly, I think this shift did not just happen overnight, the economy is hard, everything is just expensive anyhow, people are trying to survive, when someone is thinking of how to feed,to pay rent, also support family, passion no dey even get strength to talk sometimes, because passion does not pay Nepa bill, passion does not fill gas, passion cannot buy garri, so people chase careers that promises money, or they try to turn every skill into business, we don enter a generation of how can I monetize this or that.*
*But even with all this, I still believe passion is not dead It is just hmmmm … tired, and It needs room to breathe, and that is where the question comes , how do we go back to the time when people choose professions because they enjoy them?*
***For me, I think it starts with the system and with also us.***
*So if health workers, teachers, artists, social workers, basically all the people in care or service professions are paid well enough to live comfortably, they will naturally work with more heart, If the system reduces corruption, reduces exploitation, and stops making everything about money, passion will come forward again.*
*Also, as individuals, we need to slow down a bit, not everything is a competition, not everything must be about who has made it and who never blow, sometimes, your joy and peace is worth more than chasing something that does not align with you.*
*And we should start teaching younger people that success is not only measured by only money ,see you can be successful and content doing something you genuinely love, whether or not it makes you a millionaire.*
*In short, I believe we can go back, but it will take effort, passion still exists, good hearted people still exist, but we need a society that supports genuine intentions., not this one that makes everybody feel like they are in a race.*
*At the end of the day, life is more meaningful when what you do brings you joy, not just salary alert.*
