Good Afternoon everyone and welcome to my blog, on this edition of the Hive learners prompt , I will be going straight to answer the prompt, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend? So without further ado , let's dive in.

So when it comes to health, I honestly can not say that one is more important than the other one, because if your body is okay and your mind is not alright, it is almost like you are still somehow not healthy, so same way if your mind is strong but your body is not cooperating, then life will still be difficult, so for me, both the mental health and physical health just goes hand in hand.
I have had times when I felt really strong physically, like there's no sickness, no fever, nothing, but mentally I was drained, I did not even have strength to face small things that came my way, and I have also had times when I was emotionally okay but physically down, and it still did not make sense, that is why I believe striking a balance is very important.

For my mental health, I try not to allow too many things to weigh me down, even though sometimes it is not really easy, You know how life is, one day you are up, the next day wahala will just fly from left and right, so I try to find small ways to calm myself down, so for example, I love listening to music , it just shifts my mood, Sometimes I watch dramas or anime just to distract my mind, talking to someone I trust also helps, because keeping everything bottled up is really not healthy at all, And of course, prayer is a big part of how I handle stress, when I talk to God, I actually feel lighter like alot lighter.
On the physical side, I try to take care of my body the little way that I can, drinking enough water, eating food that actually gives energy, and resting when my body calls for it, so see I won’t even lie, I am not a fitness guru, I dont wake up every morning to jog or hit the gym, but I do small small exercises when I can, or even take long walks, especially when I am thinking about something, at least that way, my body is moving and my mind is also getting some kind of relief.
The truth is, one side affects the other, when you exercise or even do simple body movements, it helps your mental health too because your mood improves, and when you protect your mental health by staying away from unnecessary stress, your physical body also enjoys the peace, so the balance comes naturally when you don’t treat them separately.
Sometimes, I even notice that when I don’t sleep well, I become cranky and can not even focus on anything at all, that one shows me how important rest is, because lack of rest spoils both my mental and physical wellbeing, so I try to sleep when I need to, even though life responsibilities sometimes won’t allow that luxury.
I think the main point is not to overthink it too much , taking care of your health does not mean doing everything at once, It is the small things you do every day that keeps both your body and mind in check, Drinking water instead of soda, saying no to people when you do not have the energy , taking time to laugh and gist with friends, switching off your phone when the pressure is too much, sleeping when you should sleep , you see all of these things adds up.
At the end of the day, health is health, you can not choose to only focus on the body and abandon the mind, or only pamper your mind and leave your body anyhow ,it is like a partnership , see if one side breaks down, the other side will also follow, So the goal should always be to keep both balanced as much as we can.
See here i am not saying i have it all figured out, but I try , I just believe if we keep making those little efforts, then our health , both mental and physical will be wellrounded , and that is what really matters.
