You would not think that a game about answering your door could be fun but here we are. Door Puncher is just that. Literally, the whole game is simply answering the door and your quick reflexes. Do you immediately punch whatever, no matter what, is on the other side or can you hold back temptation to pummel the punch buttons long enough to gauge a fair reaction? Find out in Door Puncher.
Older Game but Still Quite Fun and Challenging
This is one of those games that answers a question most of us never had in the first place. How do you react to opening the door? It could be a dog, a neighborly old woman or even a baby. Then again, it could be a giant worm that wants nothing more than to eat you alive.
Punch first and survive.
If you punch anyone but a giant worm or creature, then you will lose a heart of health.
Vice versa, if you do not punch puppies, babies, or grandma, then you get a heart of health. https://youtu.be/Di_JyDA-Cdw
Simple but Challenging
Door Puncher is one of those simple games that is challenging as well. There is more to this than old Atari 2600 games but not much.
When you do punch the creature, you fight on a grid system. Aiming is done with the D-Pad, and you punch, left and right, with the two action buttons available.
There is a bit of strategy involved here as well. You must alternate punches for maximum impact. If you wait too long to attack, then the creature will attack and take a heart of health.
Lose all your health and you go back to the first round. Survive 12 rounds of this and you win the game.
The question is, will your nerves get the best of you and cause you to knock granny’s dentures out before you complete Door Puncher?
