What's up plebs!?
Today I'd like to share yet another silver coin from my collection!
Like the one from a few days ago, this one again is a commemorative coin from Germany.
Let's check it out:
This is the reverse side and features the parliament building, also known as Bundestag. In reality, it looks something like this:
----
----
Imo, we got a very good depiction of it on the coin! Btw, the text reads
1990 3. OKTOBER 2000 10 JAHRE DEUTSCHE EINHEIT
For
1990 3rd October 2000 10 Years of German Unity
We have seen plenty of reunification themed coins in the past so I won't talk about it again ๐
----
Now, let's flip the coin:
----
Pretty standard stuff. As always, we get a unique design of the imperial chicken. You know Germans.... They like their chickens ๐ And I really like this one :)
The text sticks to the bare minimum. Minting date (2000), denomination (10 Marks) and republic of Germany (BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND)
----
And we also have a nice engraved edge:
----
It reads
WIR SIND DAS VOLK - WIR SIND EIN VOLK
For
We are the people โ We are one people
This is a slogan used during the peaceful protests in East Germany leading up to reunification of the country, so it fits the whole theme of the coin.
----
Unlike most commemorative German coins prior to 2000, this isn't the usual 0.625 silver. Instead we get a juicy 15.5 g of 0.925 purity.
----
And that pretty much sums yet another silver coin from my treasury. I hope you enjoyed it! Personally, I really like the design of this piece. And it has a decent amount of silver :)
Ok friends! This is it for today! See you soon with more shiny!
