Today I recommend a movie that, apart from being my first post for the challenge of The Anime Realm Quest For November 2025 , It's a very emotional film, visually spectacular, and with a story full of messages about loss (grief), connection, and hope. This movie was released in 2022 (if I remember correctly), but my boyfriend and I decided to watch it again for our "movie night" ❤️.

These doors are opening all over Japan, specifically in long-forgotten regions. Able to see supernatural forces that others cannot, she teams up with Souta to save Japan by finding the doors and closing them. Soon, the doors begin opening one after another across Japan. Guided by the mysterious gates and Daijin, Suzume's journey to close them takes her across the islands of the country. What awaits her on her mission is the unexpected help of a long-forgotten truth. GETTING TO KNOW SUZUME:

Suzume is a young student with a tragic past. She is a very calm and kind person. However, she doesn't fully remember that "past," but she carries that pain, which she tries to hide.

This is where he meets Souta, a mysterious (but very handsome) person, who tells him that he is a "Closer" and his mission is to close all the dark doors so that the "worms" are not released and destroy the world.

As the plot unfolds, we observe that she travels to various locations in Japan to close some doors; however, this journey, beyond being something physical, is also an emotional journey, where each door represents a memory, a wound, or a farewell.

One of the most inspiring aspects of the film is that Suzume meets new people who help her develop her capacity to grow through pain, without losing her curiosity or kindness. She learns that she can't always change what happened, but she can learn to continue living with an open heart.

The most powerful thing we see is that she goes from being a fearful, confused and shy girl, to a brave woman who faces both her past (when she was a child) as well as her present and her destiny with determination.

THINGS I LIKED ABOUT THE FILM AND THINGS I FEEL IT COULD HAVE BEEN IMPROVED:

• I appreciate that it focuses heavily on empathy and connection, showing how a brief encounter (especially between the Suzume of the past and the present) can change our lives or heal invisible wounds.

• It speaks volumes about the importance of letting go. Suzume doesn't fully overcome her mother's death, but she gradually understands that "closing a door" doesn't always mean forgetting, but rather accepting that it's time to move on.

• The animation is spectacular. The landscapes, the sky and its interplay of light, the colors, and every detail create a magical and nostalgic atmosphere.

• The music is simply magnificent, perfectly complementing each scene. Each melody effectively conveys a range of emotions—emotion, melancholy, and hope—all at once.

• The balance between the everyday and the supernatural, despite having elements of fantasy, the emotional essence and each message feels very genuine and completely human.

In conclusion, I recommend this film because, beyond being a visually beautiful work, it also contains many profound, emotional, and symbolic messages. It reminds us that we all carry "doors" that we must close (whether it's a loss, a chapter that didn't end as it should have, or a wound we may still be carrying), and closing this door is not an act of forgetting, but rather an act of self-love and the desire to move forward.

El día de hoy les recomendaré una película que muy aparte de ser mi primer post para el reto de The Anime Realm Quest For November 2025 , es una película muy emocional, visualmente espectacular y con una historia llena de mensajes sobre la pérdida (Duelo), conexión y esperanza. Esta película fue estrenada en el 2022 (Si mal no recuerdo), pero mi novio y yo decidimos volverla a ver para nuestra "Noche de películas"❤️.

SINOPSIS / RESUMEN:

Emprende un viaje que lo cambiará todo. Descubre Suzume, la encantadora historia de una adolescente decidida a salvar Japón de un desastre sobrenatural. La última obra maestra de Makoto Shinkai, el galardonado director de Weathering With You y Your Name, es una profunda historia de madurez que explora la conexión y la necesidad de dejar espacio al pasado. Cuando Suzume Iwato, una estudiante de preparatoria, conoce a Souta, un forastero misterioso y muy atractivo, su mundo cambia por completo. CONOCIENDO A SUZUME:

Suzume es una joven estudiante con un pasado marcado por la tragedia, es una persona muy tranquila y amable. Sin embargo, ese "pasado" no lo recuerda en su totalidad pero carga con ese dolor que de cierta forma trata de ocultarlo.

Aquí es donde conoce a Souta, una persona misteriosa (Pero muy guapo), que le cuenta que es un "Cerrador" y su misión es cerrar todas las puertas oscuras para que no se liberen los "gusanos" y destruyan el mundo.

Conforme pasa la trama observamos que ella realiza un viaje a diversos sitios de Japón para cerrar unas puertas, sin embargo este viaje más allá de ser algo físico, también es un viaje emocional, donde cada puerta representa un recuerdo, una herida o una despedida.

Algo muy inspirador que observaremos en la película es que ella conoce nuevas personas que la ayudan a mejorar la capacidad que tiene Suzume de crecer a través del dolor, sin perder su curiosidad ni su bondad. Ella aprende que no siempre puede cambiar lo que pasó, pero sí se puede aprender a seguir viviendo con el corazón abierto.

Lo más fuerte que vemos es que pasa de ser una chica temerosa, confundida y tímida, a una mujer valiente que enfrenta tanto su pasado (Cuando era niña) como su presente y su destino con determinación.

COSAS QUE ME AGRADARON DE LA PELÍCULA Y COSAS QUE SIENTO QUE PUDO MEJORAR:

• Me agrada que habla mucho sobre la empatía y la conexión, como un breve encuentro (Sobre todo entre la Suzume de antes con la actual) puede cambiar nuestra vida o sanar heridas invisibles.

• Nos habla mucho sobre la importancia de dejar ir, Suzume no supera en su totalidad la muerte de su madre, sin embargo poco a poco comprende que el "cerrar una puerta" no siempre significa olvidar, sino aceptar que es momento de avanzar.

• La animación es muy espectacular, los paisajes, el cielo y su juego de luces, los colores y cada detalle que utilizan nos brinda una atmósfera mágica y nostálgica.

• La música es simplemente magnífica, acompaña cada escenario de una manera impecable. Cada melodía logra de manera adecuada transmitir cada sentimiento de emoción, melancolía y esperanza al mismo tiempo.

• El equilibrio entre lo cotidiano y lo sobrenatural, a pesar de tener elementos de fantasía, la esencia emocional y cada mensaje se siente muy genuino y completamente humano.

Para finalizar, recomiendo esta película por que más allá de ser una obra visualmente bella, esta película también tiene muchísimos mensajes profundos, emotivos y simbólicos. Nos recuerda que todos llevamos "puertas" que debemos cerrar (Ya sea una pérdida, una etapa que no se concluyó como debería o una herida que podamos seguir cargando), y el cerrar esta puerta no es un acto de olvidar, sino de amor propio y el deseo de querer seguir adelante.
